About this listen
'It wasn't a conscious uncoupling. I had my heart ripped out and stamped on.'
When Rosie Green's husband walked out after 26 years together, he declined to leave a forwarding address. Instead, he left a devastated woman who turned into someone she barely recognised: unable to eat or sleep, and so desperate to keep her family together she'd sacrifice her sense of self - and her dignity.
She thought she'd never get over it. But she did. And so can you.
This is the frank, uplifting and insightful book Rosie wished she could have found when her whole world fell apart.
Here's your guide to getting through it - with advice from the experts, with the help of your friends, with a deliciously dark sense of humour and, for Rosie, with some highly inappropriate sex advice from her pre-teen daughter. Let her brilliantly honest handbook show how you can heal faster, understand yourself better and move on.
How to Heal a Broken Heart doesn't sugarcoat it - heartbreak brings you to your knees. But, sometimes, it also gives you a necessary shove towards a happier, more fulfilled life than you ever dreamed was possible.

Story
Leave a Cheater, Gain a Life is a no-nonsense self-help guide for anyone who has ever been cheated on. Here's advice not based on saving your relationship after infidelity - but saving your sanity. When it comes to cheating, a lot of the attention is focused on cheaters - their unmet needs or their challenges with monogamy. But Tracy Schorn (aka Chump Lady) lampoons such blameshifting and puts the focus squarely on the cheated-upon (chumps) and their needs.

Story
Real heartbreak is unmistakable. We think of nothing else. We feel nothing else. We care about nothing else. Yet while we wouldn't expect someone to return to daily activities immediately after suffering a broken limb, heartbroken people are expected to function normally in their lives, despite the emotional pain they feel. Now psychologist Guy Winch imagines how different things would be if we paid more attention to this unique emotion - if only we can understand how heartbreak works, we can begin to fix it.

This book sheds light on two seemingly opposing ideas: Divorce or breakups, and marriage or intact relationships. Most of it helps you cope with the heartbreak of being dumped, breaking up, going through moving out, or even signing the divorce papers. It is meant to help those who have experienced this see things in a different light, and at the same time, accept what cannot be changed.

Disappointing…
Her accent made it difficult to follow. Her story was relatable, and I have great empathy for what she went through but most of her usable knowledge is quoting other experts in the field. If I’m going to spend the time listening or reading a book I’d rather go to the experts.
I stopped listening when she made reference to something that Trump said. She should keep her political views out of her audiobook about heartbreak.
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
