About this listen

Revenge has no limits.

Special Agent Matthew Roarke has abandoned his rogue search for serial killer Cara Lindstrom. He's returned to the FBI to head a task force with one mission: to rid society of its worst predators. But as the skeletal symbols of Santa Muerte, "Lady Death," mysteriously appear at universities nationwide, threatening death to rapists, Roarke's team is pressured to investigate. When a frat boy goes missing in Santa Barbara, Roarke realizes a bloodbath is coming - desperate teenagers are about to mete out personal, cold-blooded justice.

Hiding from the law, avenging angel Cara Lindstrom is on her own ruthless quest. She plans to stay as far away from Roarke as possible - until an old enemy comes after both her and the FBI, forcing her back into Roarke's orbit. This time, the huntress has become the hunted...

Although the content of the book makes us feel uncomfortable, we should be able to handle it. Ms Sokoloff handled it. Female empowerment is never a topic to run from-even if politics rears its ugly head. Well Done.

This is my first review of over 600 books. I loved this series, but by book 5 I was pretty disgusted with all the political inferences. This country started it's decline many years ago, not just after the 2016 election. And if the author would study his history, there have been several presidents who brought their debauchery right into the White House. I take it that the author is a liberal Democrat. I worked in the system for more than thirty years, and I understand the issues in this Country, on both sides....I don't want to read about it in my enjoyment time. I hope book 5 is the last of the series, I'm still listening just to see how it ends.

Too much political agenda!

The book itself lost 2 stars for all the stupid politics throughout the whole book!

My review..

I can see why this book got sooo many 1 and 2 star reviews. Readers are looking for a mystery NOT to have the authors political views beat over their heads throughout the entire story. You hate the president! Good for you! I DON'T CARE! Now get on with the story and stop bringing him and his policies that you don’t like, up. Jeesh! It was a good story but like so many others I got tired of the politics the author droned on and on about. A murder mystery is no place for that. That was disappointing.

This was a good story, however. Cara was her usual killer-self and I couldn’t wait for her to get to Ortiz and kill his butt. Holy crap, that man was pure evil. And when she was caught by those two “bounty hunters” you had no idea what might happen to her. You’ll have to read this exciting series to find out.

I think with all that was being said about Cara by men on the forum on the dark-web this was the most disgusting book in the series. But, she takes care of all that.

By the time I got to 90% I was so excited and bummed about the end. I wanted to see what was going to happened to Cara and Roarke but I hated that the series was ending, until who-knows-when.

No sex and the F-bomb was used 83 times.

As to the narration: R.C. Bray did a fantastic job, again.

Disappointed..

I’ve seen several reviews than panned the author’s views as expressed by the characters in this book. If you’re this far into the series you already know that the theme of abused women is a major driving motivation for some characters. The book takes place dng the Trump administration and the political views and horror that the characters express is entirely consistent with who they are.

I understand that readers of this book who supported the Trump administration would find the perspective of those who feel terrified and angry by them to be uncomfortable.

The problem isn’t with the writer.

Ignore the trolls who don’t like the themes

This is the final book in a series. I’m sick of politics. I think a lot of people are. These books tell a very important story depicting real life possibilities. That’s the most important part. There are crazy sick individuals out there and we need to not bury our heads in the sand. Every day kids, boys and girls are sold with sex slavery. Let’s end it.

Unnecessary politics imo

The first three books were good but this one seems to be written with a political agenda.

A bit too far

Not nearly as good as the other books in the Moon Series, tons of politics.

Ok

Great series and great writing with a great rc bray as always. I wish they kept the political stuff out. I do books to escape life not listen to it. The subject is horrible and needs to be stopped.

No politics

I truly do love this narrator but I wish he would research correct pronunciation of towns in our local mid California coast area. We have a huge Spanish and American Indian history in this area so Isla Vista is not Is la Vista it is I la Vista. S is silent with long I. Sorry to nitpick but it did detract from the reading. Otherwise great and thank you.

Correct pronunciation
