About this listen

Can one family save a world?

Daniel Clay fought across the galaxy as a corporate soldier. He left the violence behind for a life of science, raising a family far from the bloodshed of the Corporation. With his wife, Sarah, and son, Michael, he studied the alien Tyr for years, hidden among their complex societies. Their mission should have ended with the arrival of a replacement team. Instead, the Clays’ corporate overlords choose a death sentence: an invasion fleet to conquer the Tyr.

This first contact will destroy the Tyr, and only Daniel Clay and his family can help fight back against the drug-fueled conscripts and military might of the invaders. The Clays must help the Tyr from the shadows or be killed by the Tyr who fear them...or by the Corporation they’ve betrayed.

But the Clays aren’t the only hidden power.

If you like Avatar or V, you’ll love The Tyr Trilogy, a series that combines the wonder, excitement, and drama of top-notch sci-fi.

Brought to the audio realm by none other than award-winning voice artist R.C. Bray.

Really enjoyed this

Very interesting world building in this. I hope it's not too long of a wait for the second book in the series.

Great listen

As advertised, includes a lot of overtones from the old tv series “V”.

This book was in turn interesting and horrifying, depending on what the humans were doing in the story. Very much looking forward to book two.

Fox has done it again!

Absolutely loved this book. At the beginning I was expecting a Ember War style but this story is very different! I think this could be the start of a truly great series. It has Fox’s style, he created a galaxy with mystery and danger. I look forward to the next book!

Great find

Daniel fought as a soldier for a long time but gave it all up for a science job a safer job. He was supposed to study the Tyr over several years their mission was to have ended when the replacements arrived, however Daniel found out that the replacements job was to obliterate the Tyr, now Daniel must find a away to do what is right.

This was a wonderful, exciting book. It has plenty of action and some suspense. The audio was wonderful to listen to as narrator R.C. Bray did a awesome job bringing it all to life through his voice. I can't wait to see what happens to the Tyr, Daniel and Daniels family in the next book.

A new twist on alien invasion stories

This time it's humans doing the invasion... er, "colonization". And we're not very nice about how we go about it. "Hello indigenous species, we are the humans. We're your nabes from just a hop, skip and a jump through a wormhole, and we've had some spies living among you for years to get an understanding of your world and culture. After running the numbers, your world is a wonderfully economically viable, and we're movin' in! Great right?! Its not our first galactic rodeo, so no worries we've done this to thousands of planets... so please pack up all your crap ASAP and vacate all the really great ocean front and tropical real estate first hmmm-kayy? Otherwise we will vaporize you. Eventually we will vaporize you all, so don't bother unpacking ".
This is a great start to what I'm thinking will be a great series. Mr. Fox carefully wove world building, character development and a caste society culture together alongside plenty of action for a series opening. The baseline is set with this book and I'll be anxiously awaiting the next installment. As usual, RC Bray is seamless in vocalizing the dialog and bringing to life multiple characters along with his pacing and style that really delivers the tone and cadence the author intended. I think RC Bray just might be a cyborg er' somethin. Spend the credit, get this book, and help stop the d-bag humans from destroying yet another sentient species simply because it is economically justifiable and profitable. (Note: Not all humans are D-bags)

Great Book

This was the typical Sci-Fi book but the writer and the narrator made it great. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and was only disappointed when I found out there were no more in the series yet.
