About this listen

Every heart has a price.

She offered him $10,000 to seduce her father's gold-digging fiancee. He countered with $15,000 and a kiss—from her. At any time he chose. Kris should've said no, but she was desperate to get rid of her stepmother-to-be, and the gorgeous actor with the wicked grin was perfect for the job.

So she agreed to his terms—not knowing that doing so would cost her a lot more than money and a kiss . . .

He did it for the money—which he desperately needed. The kiss was just a bonus—or so he told himself.

Melting an ice princess like Kris started as a challenge, but by the time Nate realized there was more to Kris than meets the eye, it was too late: he had fallen.

But they're not just from opposite sides of the track—they're from different worlds. And when those worlds collide, Kris and Nate must decide whether they're willing to give up what they have for what could be . . .

Contains mature themes.

This was fun

The banter was playful and funny and easy flowing. The characters were perfect and I loved both of them. The supporting actors were perfect. In this story blunted well flowed well great thank you.

cute story narration meh

what a cute story I think that the characters did develop and grow nicely I love the inner play of the main characters and the storyline was really believable no real loose ends to tie up and a great sweet happy ending clearly it ended with some suggestions of a follow-on book so that's nice ready to move on to the next installment just thinking with this series that this should have the female narration was May I just really think it's weird her breathy character sounds and her male voice is just horrible it sounds weird and it doesn't sound like the men because we get the male perspective as well so I don't know the duet might be better for Cindy at the narrator or Anna Wong's General overview of her books and narration of her books but I would say the narration is what brings the overall performance down on to the next book

Interesting

I liked the twists, I just felt like a lot happened near the end and it was a whirlwind

Kris and Nate

Kriss is a rich, sassy *itch and she knows it and owns it. Nate is out there trying to survive and provide for his family. His luck changes when he meets Kris. The uptight with the layback in my opinion. I love a good fake dating trope turn to the real deal.

love her books

I loved the book and the twists.. I'm just not in love with the female voice. she sounds to child like. she reads all the females the same. I wish she didn't sound so whiny and like she is angry all the time not everything is meant to come off like a smart a$$

Decent story line

book was okay. Emma tends to give unnecessary details to the point the story drags on I found myself fast forwarding some of the chapters. The real disappointment, however, is her almost complete dismissal of the red-headed step monster. I wish she would have gone into more detail on her demise.
