About this listen

"This book was full of twists and turns and I loved the hell out of it!” (Abstract Books)

He was a vision of power and privilege. Ruthless arrogance personified. A total stranger and an irresistible challenge.

I approached him in a busy casino and felt the sting of his brutal rejection. Then, I did something incredibly brazen. Impulsive. Reckless.

I stole from him.

The object was inconsequential, only worth a handful of dollars. I didn’t do it for the money; it was about making a statement.

I went back home thousands of miles away without giving him a second thought, until I spotted those quicksilver eyes glaring at me across a busy nightclub.

It was too impossible to be a coincidence. Yet, there he was, seething with a violent promise of retribution.

He thought he’d intimidate me. Hunt me down and make me pay.

What he didn’t realize was I don’t scare easily.

My name is Giada Genovese, and I’m a goddamn mafia princess.

Impossible Odds is the fourth book in the Five Families series but can be listened to as a stand-alone novel. This book is a mafia romance containing adult themes and may not be suitable for sensitive listeners.

Great Series: Five Families

This is the 4th installment in the author’s “Five Families” series. The books are about men and women who are either involved in organized crime, or who are family members of people in organized crime. Despite that fact, the main characters are quite lovable. Each storyline is compelling and keeps the listener engaged. Each book has a stand-alone story, but because most characters appear in all 4 books, I would strongly recommend listening to them in order. **There are so many other characters whose stories we’d love to hear! HOW ABOUT SOME NEW BOOKS IN THIS AWESOME SERIES?? :)

Smoking Hot!

Mackenzie Cartwright!!!!! She’s back narrating and I am loving it. Thanks for bringing another Mafia princess’ voice to life. And Gomez Pugh, you had no right being that good as Primo! How dare you?! lol! Loved you on this book.

Giada and Primo are one couple that sets everything on fire wherever they go. The sparks are going to fly and if you get close enough, you will get burnt! I’m here for the burn. Another great book in the series and I can’t wait for more.

Enjoyed “most” of the series

Ok, I don’t really like Teddy Hamilton that much, I realize a lot of listeners do, so I skipped the first book. The next two about Sophia and then sister Maria I loved them. The cover on the last book the guy is hot and I just knew I was going to love the finish of the series. OMG, I’m tempted to send it back! The male narrator is awful! On top of that his “accent” is awful as well. Wenn Ross, Jason Clark,Zachary Webber, so many sexy men to choose from but this guy has me listening to other books.

Giada and Primo

This was a great book with several twists. Giada first sees Primo in a casino when she and the girls take a trip to Vegas. She approaches him but when he does not seem interested, she promptly steals his lighter before walking away. She does not know he is an assassin for the cartel. When I thought I knew what was happening and why, I really did not. I thought one person was the villain/betrayer and it turned out to be someone else, although not surprising. Primo's adoptive father was a real piece of work who caused so much trouble. He did not want him interested in Giada except for a quick bed partner. Mackenzie Cartwright and Gomez Pugh did an awesome job with the narration.

RUTHLESS MEETS ROYALTY.. & DELICIOUS DRAMA FOLLOWS

Another unique and compelling story in the Five Families Mafia romance series and just as enjoyable and addictive as the previous three. Giada is a confident, fun, sassy, strong-willed Mafia Princess who loves to occasionally steal random things.. and, after a brief flirty encounter with a handsome sexy stranger in a Casino in Vegas, she takes his lighter after his rejection as a punishment and souvenir of their meeting. When Giada returns home she can’t get the broody stranger out of her mind and reminisces over their feisty banter.. unaware that she’s being watched from the shadows. Primo is a ruthless Hitman for the Mexican Cartel.. he didn’t appreciate being stolen from so he’s stalked his very tempting prey to New York and he’s going to teach this beautiful thief a lesson she’ll never forget. She may get under his skin.. but he’ll leave marks on hers!! And so the friction and fireworks begin.. with seismic intense chemistry and primal highs to follow.. together with twists and action-packed drama.. and betrayals, deceit and deadly manoeuvres.. and passionate highs and bloody lows as the Cartel and the ‘Family’ clash. I binge-listened to this from start to finish as Ms Ramsower’s well-written drama and excellent world-building deliciously details a chance meeting with instant spark that left its mark on a damaged, sexy, possessive alpha and his (very) claimed woman.. or was it she who claimed her man? WORTH A CREDIT? Oh yes yes yes. It’s a passionate romance with explosive chemistry, it’s a rollercoaster ride with twists, suspense and thrills.. it’s a clashing of titans and a taming of tigers.. it’s a dual POV powder keg waiting to blow.. and its wonderful narration gave depth and dignity to the characters, created a punch to every feel and brought the chapters to life.
