Publisher's summary

The Morgan sisters are back.…

“This dusty corner of Arizona is about to have a replay of the O.K. Corral!”

When “Crazy” Kate Morgan learns that her sisters are the next targets on a killer’s to-do list, she’s hell-bent on chasing down trouble before it rides into Jackrabbit Junction.

The problem: The darn law dogs keep nipping at her heels, tossing her in the hoosegow, and sidetracking her hunt.

The solution: A posse — the pricklier, the better.

If Kate can dodge this peck of pickles long enough to catch the killer, she can prove she’s not so “crazy” after all.

Special Guest Stars: Hanging out in Jackrabbit Junction in this book are Natalie Beals (the Morgan sisters’ cousin), Detective Cooper, and Ol’ Man Harvey from the USA Today best-selling Deadwood Mystery series. You don’t want to miss the heated hijinks happening down in the Arizona desert!

A great time

This book is a great effort to tie the separate pieces of the Deadwood universe together. I liked that there was a resolution to one of the original Deadwood relationships. There was also a little hint that Violet's brother Clint would be joining the fun at the trailer park some time in the near future.
Though it couldn't make it as a stand-alone story, I really liked seeing a few old favorite characters in a new setting. The story took a while to get rolling though because of all the reviewing that was necessary to reacquaint us with the previous stories and meet the characters new to the Arizona setting. But once it got going, things really took off.

Niiiiice!

Ann Charles has yet another hit on her hands. All of her work is quirky and suspenseful, with a touch of sex thrown in. I just love her works. Lisa Larson has a great style and has been wonderful in her performance. I would love to meet the Morgan sisters!

Disappointed

This time the plot was weak. I grew tired of everybody referring to Katie Morgan as crazy Katie.

Skip this book.
