About this listen

One of Amazon's best romances of February.

One of BookPage's best romances of 2018.

"Sexy and emotional...." (Washington Post - best romance novels of February)

Is there a problem, officer?

Jack Garrett isn’t a police officer yet, but there’s already an emergency. His new firearms instructor - the one who just dropped every jaw in the academy gym - is the same sexy Irish stranger Jack locked lips with last night. The Olympic gold medalist and expert markswoman is now officially off-limits, but Jack’s never cared much for rules....

Katie McCoy’s been cooped up in a shooting range for too long. A wild love affair is just what she needs to let loose, though she never imagined it would be with her smokin’-hot trainee. She cannot get involved with Jack - but a quick fling? Perfect. Falling hard for a charismatic recruit with an equal amount of sex appeal and secrets? Bloody stupid.

Jack’s charmed the pants off plenty of women (literally), yet few have ever looked beyond his perfect surface. Until Katie. He’ll do anything to keep her in his life...except tell her about his past. But a tiny lie of omission never hurt anyone, right?

INDECENT EXPOSURE is another stellar romance from author Tessa Bailey. When deeply flawed police recruit Jack Garrett is gobsmacked on a New York sidewalk by a stunning red head with an Irish brogue, he soon finds that he will do just about anything to deserve her. But with the tragedy in her past and the disturbing incident in his, can the two of them find a way to love one another and stay together?
Great narration by JF Harding and K.C. Sheridan.

Another Terrific Romance

Yes this is a great series and this wonderful story I just listened to was fulfilling and I am definitely happy with this one!!! JFH has this wonderful way with his words and narrations and his passion, angst, sexiness and magic (whoosh) stay with me and I start looking for another of his books. K. C. Sheridan's narration was wonderful too. The author did a fantastic job with Jack's journey as he lived thru pain, his demons, sadness and addictions. Katie was his perfect match. I loved her strength and vulnerability. No fluff here....so glad I selected this one.

JFHarding and KC Sheridan were mag!!!! 🔥🔥🔥

I loved this book so much! After the first one, I was unsure if I was going to give book 2 a try, but I grew to like the characters by the end of book one, so I did. I am so glad I did. Jack is so adorably wonderful a character and Kate, too. Both voice actors bring them to life beautifully. I just can not say enough about how terrific this one was. It was heartfelt, and had a level of depth to the characters and the emotions they felt. Definitely glad I gave this one a chance. It feels more true to the way Tessa Bailey usually writes.

So much better than the first book in this series!

I'm the first one to admit that I'm a huge Tessa Bailey fan, but this book took it to a whole new level. The ups and downs felt real and the spice was so, so good. The narration was the perfect choice for the characters. Can't wait to start the next in the series. Will definitely be purchasing the series for my bookshelf too!

Perfection

This wasn’t my type of romance. With a title like Indecent Exposure, and the two MCs being a recruit and instructor at a police academy, I was hoping for more fun and law enforcement related fireworks. Instead, there’s a lukewarm attempt at a Top Gun meet cute, including the bit where he sings to her, followed by a story that skews more to the sweet, angsty and cringey end.

On the sweet end, she’s a V with career insecurity issues, which didn’t mesh with the summary’s premise that “a wild love affair is just what she needs.” I prefer a leading lady who has more respect for herself than to punch her V card with someone she’s just met.

On the angsty end, he’s a one and done kind of guy, particularly because of his past childhood traumas and his current alcoholism. He comes in cocky and shallow, and then rather incredibly falls for her over night and cares so, so much about pleasing her and supporting her, except when hiding his addiction.

On the cringey end, the narration didn’t work for me, with Sheridan’s pacing being slow and passionless. It felt like the narrators weren’t feeling the writing, and I can understand that given lines like “feel that? … you’ve got it locked down; the only reason I’ll take it out is to piss a circle around you.” How romantic.🙄 And, I could be off on this, but I swear they were doing a 69 by the second get-together. There’s also weird disconnects, like how is she an Olympic level contender and a firearms instructor and yet a complete doormat who can’t have an adult conversation with her parents about her career path?

I started this series at the end and enjoyed book 3 (Disturbing Her Peace) a lot more, partly because the characters were feisty and mostly because Jacob Morgan can sell just about any romance he narrates. Based upon this lukewarm listen, and who the male narrator is for book 1, I doubt I’ll be getting book 1.

However, for cop romance, I recommend the Misadventures in Blue novella or the book Hot Cop
(with Jacob Morgan narrating). I even recommend this author’s other cop series, starting with
Protecting What’s His; some of the dated tropes are still there, but they are shorter, funner and
currently free in Audible Plus.

The cop thing really didn’t signify

The storyline was weak. The female narrator did not have a good Irish accent. Do not recommend.

It was so bad I couldn’t finish it.
