About this listen

It's everything but business as usual.

Emmie Elliot hadn't expected to come back to Metlin, California. She definitely didn't expect to stay. She returned to her childhood home with a mission: Sell the building that housed her grandmother's book store and move on with her life. But life doesn't always go according to plan. To reopen her grandmother's book shop, Emmie will need a hook. She'll need a strategy. She'll need an...Ox?

Miles Oxford doesn't have much interest in quiet bookstore owners. He's a tattoo artist without a space to work, and the last thing he wants is to get involved with anyone after his last disaster of a relationship. Work and pleasure don't mix for Ox, but since he doesn't have any interest in the cute girl with the bold business proposal, he should be safe from any awkward complications, right?

She sells ink. He tattoos it. Unusual? Yes. But a book shop/tattoo studio might be the ticket for both Emmie and Ox to find success on their own terms. As long as they keep their attention focused on business. Just on business.

Contains mature themes.

Simply charming.

This book made my heart flutter with the beauty of their relationship and the shop that was being created. Overall impression: swoon worthy and simply charming.

Characters are solid. Plotline is easy going with little suspense- good for a light read. Narration was great.

Ok

This is a nice time out by Hunter. The characters are likable enough, though it feels like they were decided upon more for commercial reasons - chosen from some “trending” list of socially desired attributes. I like her Scribe series better, but still wouldn’t mind one or two more in this series. I like this author enough that I’ve purchased some of her other series to read.

Open for business!

It’s about Emmie, a “will-tell you straight”, beautiful & smart as hell bookworm woman and Ox, a badazz tattooed, loves to read, confident & outgoing man that decided to collaborate as one for business. They opened up a combo place: a bookshop/tattoo studio! It was an incredible idea and it blooms with struggles and tribulations not only for the shop itself, but their relationship as well. Elizabeth Hunter had a way to have the characters to build a bond with one another & encounter what love can be. I like how this story unfolded. It was a solid 4 stars for me.

Perfect opposites attract

Biker boy and bookworm girl? SIGN ME UP!
The concept of this story I absolutely loved, the execution was where I struggled. Emmie and Ox decide to work together - Ox will transition his tattoo shop into a small space in Emmie’s bookstore. Literally a dream in my opinion, imagine getting books and a tattoo, that’s a day well spent! I love that Emmie and Ox are so different, but there were some scenarios when they were trying to resolve issues that just weren’t believable in my opinion. Ox’s communication skills left a lot to be desired and Emmie needed better boundaries.

This book desperately needed dual narrators, I think Melissa did a great job but I would have loved a male narrator for Ox! Overall, this was a really sweet, low stakes romance.

Such a Sweet Story!!

Ink:. A Love Story on 7th and Main, by Elizabeth Hunter is something very different from her than I've read before. But, it was adorable! it was a cute, sweet love story with a HEA. Two characters that you'd never put together in love or business and all the ups and downs they encounter! I loved it, very enjoyable and entertaining! Melissa Moran did a fantastic job narrating as well!!! I'm invested in these characters now and will definitely continue with this series!!

I'm ssoooo in

I love the story and the way the way it plays out between M.E. and Ox. Elizabeth Hunter has a way to suck you straight into the world in her books. I currently have 45 or 46 of her books in this format and THEY JUST GET BETTER
