Publisher's summary

As the gods of war returned… could the wrath of a nation be quenched? Or would it drown in the blood of its enemies?

It was a crucial piece of intel, and now they had coordinates for the RNS Freedom. The allies' next move could change the course of everything, but there was just one question: Was the Viceroy's final card to play enough to save the Republic?

The Gallentine Emperor isn't pleased. Could Viceroy Miles Hunt lose his place of influence?

Sakura and her team had discovered an ancient portal, but it wasn't like the others. After being sealed for thousands of years, would opening it unlock Pandora's box?

Were some secrets better left undiscovered? Or would the answers there save them all?

Into the Uncertain pushes our heroes to their limits, forcing them to make decisions that will alter the fate of humanity. You'll love this ninth book in this incredible military science fiction thriller series because some mysteries are solved and others have just begun.

Simply the Best so Far in this series

The book began with intense action. Difficult to step away from book. It was like the first time I read the "Davinci Code". Into the Uncertain is a compelling addition to the Rise of the Republic series: thrilling mix of HIGH action, and thought-provoking themes. Rosone continues to push the boundaries and the characters. And the set up for the next book provokes conversations on issues we face today. All are waiting in suspense, for the next one.

Wonderful series. I strongly suggest a listen.

This is a wonderful series. I have thoroughly enjoyed all parts of it. Unfortunately the reviews left on part one of this series discouraged me from listening to it and getting the rest of the series for 3 years. Eventually I was desperate for something to listen to and downloaded part 1. (I would add my review to part 1 but for some crazy reason Audible won't let me review that audiobook.) I often get bored listening to the same story over many books and don't finish the series, but this one kept my attention all the way through so far. Don't let poor reviews keep you from listening to this. It's a great story.

I only have two small gripes about this book and the series overall. One, the authors must write TV series because they have no idea how to end a novel. A novel typically has an end where at least the story for that book is mostly wrapped up. These books have cliff-hangers just like a TV show would have to get you watch next week. Second, Audible does not have the last 2 books available. I guess I'm left to go to the publisher to get them. Other than these small gripes I could not suggest this series more strongly. I hope some of the authors other series are just as good.

The formatting of this book is broken. It keeps jumping back to chapter one even if manually jumping to any chapter after it.

What stood out most? The author's continued inability to get to the point.

This is like having a military tech manual read to you buy Buzz Killington. The author goes on and on and on about mindless tripe that adds nothing to the story. The characters don't talk in any way resembling real people. "Thank you for asking that great question, I know you're such a wonderful person, I must answer your question because I'm your commander, but I want you to know you're special and I really appreciate you and want to answer you...oh, sorry you got shot in the head while I rambled in the middle of a battle." Chapter after chapter of empty words. This is godawful and painful. The other books were bad, but this is tripling down on "how long can I ramble with no point". Absolutely don't recommend this book or series.
