About this listen

Anyone determined enough can ruin a city. The only question is: do I have what it takes to rule one?

After Crescent Thorn's failed attack on Blackfall Manor, things are finally calm enough to turn my attention back to Vohra and rebuild the underworld.

But there are no shortage of fires to put out; enough problems both near and far that my fledgling empire might be in trouble before it begins.

The one person who can hope to stem the tide is also my single biggest threat in this world.

Jasper Ildan, the Jackal of Vohra, is the devil I don’t know, but when my back’s against the wall, even I’ll consider making a deal.

I enjoyed this

I have two complaints for this book I do get annoyed at how much time is lost in stats of the enemy that just dies two paragraphs later and my other complaint would be I want more of the plot the fist two felt like alot was accomplished this one felt alittle short

Great Story

Hopefully this storyline continues but great way to tie things up in the end. Would recommend 👌

Best Isekai story

If you're an anime fan and you like Isekai then this is the best Isekai out there. Not of the troupes and all of the good things.

oh, the potential

The plot and writing are great and characters are fine and even the magic is okay, but my greatest gripe is so the LitRPG elements and how they're completely irrelevant and even misleading. I like the LitRPG genre because it qualifies the progression of a character, but in this series the MC has barely progressed because he walked into the world more powerful than most without a single level, and the most powerful opponents we've encountered so far who've spent their entire lives fighting and questing are only level 5. it just makes no sense, hurts my brain, pulls me out of the story whenever a levels or anything are mentioned, and the story would've been better off without it at all cause the plot and stuff are strong enough. anyways... onto the next book.

Fantastic series

This series keeps getting better and better with each book. I love the evolution of the characters, and the relationship development between them. Grayson Sinclair is an excellent writer and you should absolutely give this series a shot if you haven’t already started it.

I'm done

I hoped the author would cut out the awful romance plot, but it's even worse in this book. I just couldn't finish it, and I won't continue this series.
