Just give it a Chance

I honestly think everyone needs to give this a chance.

The story itself is not awful and I found a lot of story elements to be interesting and fun, but the story plot is so drawn out that I felt as if I was being dragged across burning coals. The author's idea was well founded and was even fun, I just find it falling short of description and even some elements of world-building.

Started out strong

It was a good story but then the last few hours began to become very cliche. I couldn't finish the last few hours without groaning at very common scenes.

Very good and fun to listen to

I like sitting and listening to audiobooks and even though it isn’t the longest it makes up for it in just story

love it! more recommendations at bottom

if you like "reborn" lit RPGs where the mc gets a second chance to do things over with fore knowledge of the future you will love this.
the mc is smart, practical, reliable, driven and strong. (all good things imo. I hate weak, stupid, over dramatic, or whiney mcs)
it's single character focused (so no multiple povs here which is also good).
I read a review that said the last 3 hours was cliche but honestly there is only a couple hundred of these reborn litrpgs (not to be mistaken for *isakia* not sure if I spelled that right but anyway the two are very different even though I love those to) out there and I've read them all so I don't think there is such a thing as cliche in this genre yet.
book recommendations similar to this...
reborn: apocalypse (my favorite)
towers of heaven
player reached the top
restart
monarch: a prince out of time
:-) your welcome

time travel lit!

first I received a free code for the book to do an honest review! so let's get to it...

I love Jakob tanners work and Steve Campbell bringing it to life. they work very well together.

we have a couple of similar books to this one. Mc gets chosen, goes back to save what will be lost, we find out things that happen as book progresses.

this one was a bit different lit style as they don't necessarily gain levels but skills do, the people gain ranks almost cultivation style which does happen with mana.

one thing I always love is a hp system as it puts life on edge a bit when you see them hurt.

the big one for this is as far as I know there are no healers... just items to help with that so fighting the enemies and dungeon gates has a bit more of a threat to them then our usual lit books.

some things I had trouble with at first get explained later in the book so that was a bonus but I'm sure can throw some people off. I won't go into details as spoilers but I will day stick with it! I do really enjoy this book.

my one biggest gripe was dual wielding swords. I can get over it as they have a strength Stat and agility making it seems more possible as how unwieldy that would be... but again fantasy book I can let it slide.

all in all good read/listen and can't wait to hear 2nd one.

no harem but love interests and funny characters a plenty.

Solid story

I really enjoyed this story. It did a great job of telling a direct regressor story and covering the first period of the MC’s story. The big question will be how the story develops as the current timeline departs from the original one. Looking forward to the next entry.

a good start but some annoying characters

okay so the book is really good overall I give it a four out of five stars the story is similar to what has come before it and doesn't really make any drastic changes to the formula but doesn't well enough to where you're still interested in the story. the last third of the book was a slog for me I know that sounds weird but I could not get invested in the character Toby whatsoever I hate this character he is whiny he got his cool moment that I won't spoil for anyone but to me it just didn't redeem the character for me. I will get the second book when it comes out but I do so hesitantly but I think my problems with the book might not be a problem for anybody else so if you have a chance to get it I would say do so.
