Some monsters can't be dealt with using swords.

After flunking the entrance exam to his dream university, Temaru Ryūta is left behind by all his friends and becomes a shut-in while preparing for next year's exams.

This is only the beginning of his bad luck, because one summer day he is inexplicably transported to another world, where people like himself are expected to become Adventurers.

To make matters worse, he is assigned the Role of Exorcist, which is the most dangerous of all Roles.

Ryūta reluctantly becomes the apprentice of a suspicious older Exorcist, who turns out to be a ruthless teacher, and he soon realises that his new career will be fraught with danger and terrifying monsters.

Don't miss the start of this unique new Isekai LitRPG from Dosei. Join Ryūta as he finds interesting companions and makes uneasy pacts with supernatural entities, all while dealing with corrupted Exorcists who have become a part of the darkness they were meant to fight.

Utilizing an exorcist as a class is something that I haven’t encountered. I found that the more interesting aspects of the class came through summoning which I would normally associate with exorcism but it was cool all the same. The story was entertaining. The narration was really good.

Unique idea

This one has great potential. A great pot, but the execution, I wanted to really like this, but it's just if you don't have anything else to listen to. This is okay. The author shows that they do have what it takes to crafter. Great story, but they were phoning you in on this one.

The potential is there and the plot but that's it

I really enjoyed this story! Our protagonist often goes through cases Scooby Doo style, trying to narrow down what they’re up against. And once they do, it turns a bit more into Supernatural where the entity they are researching is hunted down.

The world, and a lot of the characters are hostile, and unwelcoming. The protagonist is naive, but in a way which makes sense, and it may be something we see character development on. I look forward to future entries in this series!

Great first entry!

The Narration is a big part of why I do not wish to continue this series. The MC is an 18-year-old Japanese Kid. The narrator makes him sound like a 70-year-old man. The narrator also mispronounces every Japanese word in the book, including the main character's name. His name is Ryuuta, but the narrator pronounces it "Rye-you-tah." As someone who spent a few years studying the Japanese language, mangled pronunciation is a pet-peeve of mine. This is made worse by the fact that the protagonist is Japanese, born and raised in Japan, he should be able to pronounce Japanese words.

The story is just "ok." The Main character is led around by the nose from one dangerous encounter to the next by people with dubious intentions, at best. His 'bad luck' is expressed by his constantly being dragged into dangerous situations, but this is contradicted by his great luck in managing to survive them.

There is a tiny chance that I might pick up book two at some point in the future. If I do, I will definitely not be getting the audible version.

No thanks for the mangled pronunciation.
