Jonathan and Tommy’s strong personality’s drove this book. This is my favorite book b/c of these two. Their banter brought a smile to my face.

I loved, loved this novel!!! By far my favorite novel in the Pennyroyal Green series by Julie Anne Long. If you have not read the series. I suggest you read them in order; you can find book 1-5 in YT. It Happened One Midnight is thus far my absolute favorite 😍 Jonathan and Tommy (Tomasina) are the coolest hero and heroine duet!!! You will love them, and their story! Additionally, there are many answers to the ongoing saga of the Redmond family, and much fun at Pennyroyal Green. This is a very happy and light book. The narration is perfect; although, I CANNOT understand why Tommy has a Spanish accent when she was born and raised in jolly England. It does not make any sense to me. Nonetheless, as a Spanish girl, I was happy to hear her. I hope that you enjoy It Happened One Midnight as much as I have; it is one that I will re-listen to often

I love these tales of these two families and the wit and conversations. The historical references and life virtues. Emotional, intellectual just great writing by Julie Anne Long. Huge fan!

This might be my favorite story of the series and I have not made it through the entire series yet. What I like most is the underlying theme to the story, is that it takes courage to love someone your family and society disapproves. I highly recommend this book.

I love the characters, the story and how Julie Anne interprets the gamut of human emotions. Her expression of sensuality, emotion and passion is second to none. She leaves you yearning to be one of the characters - just to experience their highs. The story leaves you feeling strong and hopeful that the best traits in human nature will prevail. It a story that takes you on an original journey and fertilises your imagination. A favourite. And very well read.

Narration was great. Justine Eyre has been a slow acquired taste for me as I really hated her voice in the past but with time and finding a good speed to listen to her with ( usually .95x) I've come to actually really love her.

This was just ok. Tommy and Jonathan weren't great for me. I was expecting more.
