The characters are so relatable. The emotions and complex issues so real. Not all abuse leaves visible injury.

Why the hell would a woman kill herself and leave her much wanted and loved baby just to keep her husband from killing her? Dumb. She had all the evidence to have him imprisoned for previous murders. Dumbest plot and a waste of my time.

First off, I will say that I did finish the book and never considered returning it. The story held my interest and the narration was pretty good. However, the conclusion really did not make much sense to me. I have a really hard time understanding the protagonist's motivation for doing what she did... And why she didn't even attempt to try something else before doing so. I will definitely never listen to this again.
