.........................

To find their soulmates, all they need is four dates, a kiss and a breakup . . .

Justin has a curse, and thanks to a Reddit thread, it's now all over the internet. Every woman he dates goes on to find their soul mate the second they break up. When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They'll date each other and break up. Their curses will cancel each other's out, and they'll both go on to find the love of their lives. It's a bonkers idea . . . and it just might work.

Emma hadn't planned that her next assignment as a traveling nurse would be in Minnesota, but she and her best friend agree that dating Justin is too good of an opportunity to pass up, especially when they get to rent an adorable cottage on a private island on Lake Minnetonka.

It's supposed to be a quick fling, just for the summer. But when Emma's toxic mother shows up and Justin has to assume guardianship of his three siblings, they're suddenly navigating a lot more than they expected - including catching real feelings for each other. What if this time Fate has actually brought the perfect pair together?

“If you can choose anger or empathy always choose empathy”

Abby’s writing and her character building is honestly exquisite. She writes these amazingly human characters and flawed characters and gives us a slice of their complicated lives. The book touched base on childhood trauma, unleashed abandonment issues, true friendship, and how to let go. There were so many good paragraphs, the kind that you take to heart and realize it fits into your own past.

This audiobook is perfection!!!!

I absolutely devoured this book

Maddy definitely deserves the award of best friend of the year.

Feeling and being small 🥺

The audiobook is narrated by Christine Lakin and Zachary Webber. I love their voices, but I was a bit disappointed: the audio starts like a duet, but it only last just for the texts. Otherwise, it’s a dual narration

Start as a duet, but it’s a dual narration

I liked seeing characters from other books reemerge, and as a Minnesotan who has lived abroad for a few years, it was lovely imagining the setting and some of my favorite spots!

completely obsessed with this book! I've enjoyed all of Abby Jimenez's books, but this one felt the most authentic.

Abby Jimenez never misses.
This book made me laugh, smile and tear up. I loved Emma’s character development and the fact that she choose to work on herself before committing to a relationship.
The story was witty, sweet and charming and I highly recommend reading it!

I loved every word of the book. Excellent listening. The characters - the journey - the ups and downs kept me glued. I wanted to listen to it slowly but I had to just keep on going. Abby Jimenez is now my favourite contemporary romance writer. I think I need to go back and reread them all.

I absolutely loved this!

It was not just a sweet romcom but one with so much depth. It was beautiful to see how things came together but not in a superficial way, work was needed and it was worth it.

Justin and Emma had a truly lovely love story full of understanding, grace and growth.

I adored Emma's troubled story and her ability to do the work to get better.

The only low point was that the cussing increased near the end of the book but it was manageable.

Spice: 4: Open door, lusty parts, mentions of intimate parts/ thoughts.

Language:3: Cursing was used in high stress moments, can be counted on 2 hands, GD used 1 time.

Amazing Love Story!
