Chloe Cook is back with another case to crack!

When a loudmouthed, egotistical comedy club owner is found dead, Chloe's once sleepy hometown of Cape Cod is rocked to the core. Even worse, the police think one of Chloe's best friends is the killer.

Convinced that her friend has been framed, the feisty, pie-loving cosmetics saleswoman is left with no choice but to take matters into her own hands to find the real killer herself.

Keeps you guessing!

Loved the character, Chloe; tenacious, loyal and confident.

Renee Dorian Begley did a good job narrating. She brought the characters to life.

Great read

Killer Finale was a great read by Kayla Michelle. Chloe is questioned for the murder of a comedy club owner. Her best friend is suspected of being the murderer. I enjoyed reading how Chloe would try to clear her best friends name. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by Kayla Michelle.

A fun cozy with a cute corgi!

This was my first book in this series, and it was so easy to jump into! I didn’t feel like I missed any details or was left out of any important info. Although now I do want to back and listen from book 1 :) - Chloe was a fun & spunky lead character & her corgi sidekick made the book even more charming. It was a fun mystery that followed Chloe as she works to eliminate suspects one in a murder. If you’re a cozy mystery lover then you’ll love this too!

Not for me

I love cozy mysteries and if done correctly they are great to listen to or read. Sometimes this genre does not have everything going for it like you know who the murder is early on in the book but it has something else going that makes you want to read it. An example would be that it is really funny so you would not really care if you knew who did it.
This unfortunately, does not have anything that makes you want to read on.
I found the character to be unbelievable and I was surprised that the other characters actually told her things when they did not need to since she was not a cop. And the things she said to the dective at the beginning I found that really hard to believe.
Also what does the dog in the cover have to do with the story because I don't remember the dog being mentioned in the book which shows that if the author did mention it it was insignificant.
This book is not for me but others might like it more than I did.
The narrator was OK but I would have liked more emotion put into the characters.

Fun Short Cozy Mystery

This is a great short cozy mystery prefect for the commute drives. The story line I felt was a good one but it felt a little rushed at times too, which might have just been due to the narrator. The narrator did a pretty good job, she definitely sounds young, but I would say there were times that I wanted to tell her to slow down just a bit. Overall I thought it was a fun short cozy mystery.

Quick and fun cozy!

Give me a good, quick mystery and I am a happy listener! This is my first Kayla Michelle cozy and I love the characters she has come up with. Chloe Cook, a cosmetic saleswoman turned amateur sleuth. When her best friend Hope is accused of the latest murder in their town, she goes into detective mode to clear her friend's name. The cast of characters in this cozy are fun and full of personality. Chloe's grandmother, Betty is full of pep and will keep a smile on your face as Chloe searches out all the suspects. This is an easy, quick listen, perfect for some down time and sure to keep you entertained.

Renee Dorian Begley narrates the story with a variety of voices. With the many characters in the story, she is able to give each one it's own characteristics so it's easy to identify who is speaking. I enjoyed my first narration by her and look forward to more.

For a short novel, this book has a lot happening..

Killer Finale is a fun and busy cozy mystery. For being a novella, this book introduces a lot of potential suspects and motives into a small package. Although it is the third in a series, Killer Finale can absolutely be read as a standalone. The amateur sleuth, Chloe Cook, is a resourceful young woman, and she doesn't let anything stand in the way of solving the mystery. I didn't know which suspect was the guilty party until Chloe revealed the solution, which is the sign of a good mystery in my opinion.

The narration by Begley is perfect for the mood of the story. She has a light, bouncy voice that matches Chloe's personality perfectly. Her delivery was smooth and flawless, and I would definitely listen to another book written by Michelle or read by Begley.

Chloe does again.

This was a cute, fun story. Once again Chloe has to help find the real killer to help clear one of her friends of murder. The story line was great but i wish it had been longer. The narrator did a great job with each characters voices. I was gifted the book per my request in exchange for an honest review.

A cute cozy mystery

A “not so nice” comedy club owner is murdered and the list of suspects is quite long. When Chloe finds out her best friend is at the top of the list, she takes on the task of solving the case.

While the sleuthing is not always realistic, it still made for an entertaining story.

The narration was well done by Renee Dorian Begley.
