Publisher's summary

Lane swore never to be like her late mother. But now, she too is a serial killer. One difference remains. She only stalks and punishes the guilty.

The Strangler: While trailing a new serial killer of teenage girls dubbed “The Strangler”, Lane makes a terrible miscalculation and kills the wrong man. Now, the family of the man she accidentally murdered is hunting the killer, and Lane is forced to cover her tracks by befriending them. Because, everyone knows you keep your enemies closer.

The Suicide Killer: There’s a new killer in town, or is there? As Lane pieces together the recent suicides, the trail leads back to a retirement home. Therein lies the one person linked to all her secrets and the key to unlocking her past. But will breaking down her boundaries bring salvation or doom?

Suspense, Mystery, Romance, Twisted, Heartwarming!

A lot of suspense, lil' bit of romance, and family. This series is the perfect, complete story. An excellent blend of writing, timing, connecting to characters and narration. Some reviews of the narration are negative because some do not understand that if she had been more or less animated it would have taken from the story, made it less believable. I recommend reading from the beginning book in the series because u will connect more to the story. But this is definitely a fantastic stand alone story, also. Every book wraps it up in the end, leaving u fulfilled but yet wanting another story. I will have a hard time find another novel as satisfying as this. I am now a huge S. E. Green fan!

Great book loves the series. Wish it wasn’t over. Would like to read more stories like this one

I would recommend this to all Decter fans.
If you are going to read about murderers what a great idea to have them get rid of the bad people in this world!

Insightful story of a serial killer

First, this book was way too long. I almost lost interest but I made it all the way through. Very Dexter feel to it. At times, I wished they had told the back story of the moms death and details how Layne found out about her mother.

Amazing and interesting thriller

Lane has become a serial killer like her late mother. She hunts and kills the guilty.

This set contains 2 stories:
1.     The Strangler – Lane searches for a teenage girl serial killer and ends up killing the wrong person. While hunting for the killer, she must cover her own tracks to avoid being found out.
2.     The Suicide Killer – Lane finds a serial killer living in her town after some research and going through her mother’s notes. She later uncovers the connection with this killer to her own past.
I enjoyed the stories.

Lane is a fascinating character and I enjoyed her perspectives and way of thinking. She is tough and brutal, yet has a soft side for her family. She also has a romantic interest which is interesting to hear from her strange personality.

Susan narrated very well and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout while listening. I thoroughly enjoyed her performance.

I highly recommend this book. This was the first book I heard in the series, which can be read stand alone, but I am looking forward to hearing the others!

Narrator over pronounces conjunctions

the narrator isn't the best. She peonounces "shouldnt" like "should-nent"...all similar conjunctions are over-pronounced. it's annoying: "couldn't" sounds like "could-nant"..... ect

Intriguing

The book kept my interest. Couldn’t wait to hear what was going to happen next. The narrator was very good and brought the book to life.

Can’t wait for the next book!!

I hate that it’s over!! I just finished listening and I need more. I love the progression of the relationship between the sisters and I’m curious to see what direction things will take after Lane’s confession at the end. The narration was good. Not the best, but not the worst. I was somewhat annoyed by her pronunciation (or lack thereof) on certain words (one example was instead of saying veterinary, she pronounces it vetinary, but as someone that works in the veterinary field, I’m probably just being picky). Overall, it was a fun-paced story that I can’t wait to hear more of.
