Publisher's summary

Best-selling author Jennifer Roberson captures listeners' hearts and imaginations in this haunting, lyrical tale of an era of savagery and splendor, set against the heather-strewn hills of a divided Scotland...

From birth, Catriona Campbell and Alasdair Og MacDonald are enemies - for he is the second son of her clan's most powerful foe. Yet from the moment they meet, they know they will lie in each other's arms someday. But their love, for centuries forbidden, comes at the most dangerous of times, as they become pawns of war... and of history.

loved the story, Narrator not best choice,

Read the book years ago, great story, Narrator made it seem more choppy, he was good with reading male characters dialogue , but very challenged when reading the lines of the main female character, Cat.

Storytelling At Its Very Finest

Hard to find books written this well. And the narrator is simply amazing. I read this book in printed form and loved it. Years later I decided to relive it in audio form, and all I can say is WOW! Hard to imagine this masterpiece could get any better. But in audio the story comes alive. This narrator has got to be a professional actor. No other way to explain this kind of talent. “Lady of the Glen” brings the old Scotland of the Highlanders alive again. With Ms Roberson’s amazing skill the green hills appear in my mind dotted with shaggy cattle. I see the plaids—hear the pipes—and experience the fear, the passion of men and women caught in the struggle of life or death. I have literally not been able to put this story down (so to speak). It’s been long enough since I read the printed version that the story seems new again. And best of all, there’s nothing predictable here. You live it with the characters and discover as they do.

So glad I own this book in two versions now. Storytelling at its very finest.
