Publisher's summary

In a city of flying mountains and magic palaces, a man must hunt for his lost friends and face the legacy they left behind.

Theo's family is safe, but the Ten Thousand Worlds are still rife with both danger and opportunity. His old friends are missing, but now Theo's finally caught their trail. For the first time since coming to this strange world of elves and cultivation, Theo must leave the Hearthwood Forest and see the world beyond the trees.

Outside, enemies lurk in wait, eager to tear apart everything Theo has built. But Theo's no longer a wide-eyed and wondrous human. Now, he's got teeth of his own.

Contains mature themes.

Much Better

This book in the series was much more action packed and brought us deeper into the 10k worlds. My biggest issue is that while fighting the MC does more talking then fighting and if he sees somebody taking a swing at him or his women the reaction is so slow because he is talking or explaining how instead of putting a sword in somebody.

Let’s start the next book.

Good story but stop the snorting

Seriously the narrator needs to stop trying to snort. If it says a character snorts in the text leave it at that because it sounds like he doesn’t actually try to snort. It just makes it super annoying to hear. Otherwise the story was great lots of intrigue and character development

Slowly Warming Up

book 4 is a solid continuation to the series. it has built on the world and the abilities a lot better than the previous 3. the most unfortunate part is the first 3 books of this series are lacking and that anyone that enjoys this genre has to fight through 3 books before they see this growth

This series is a grower

Slow-ish start, and now things are getting interesting. Highly recommend this series if you love cultivation and elves.

Yes!!! My cake and I got to eat it too!

It’s like Marvin Knight heard all my earlier complaints from the distant future and addressed them. MC is still very socially awkward with everyone though less so with his daughters now. But this entire book had me smiling and nodding through most of it. More enjoyable by far than the previous three combined! Onward to book 5!
