This is a dense book packed with tips for building good habits and creating a daily routine for 6 essential areas:
1. energy (and sleep)
2. eating
3. exercise
4. routine activities (repetitive tasks like cleaning)
5. work
6. fun, hobbies, and creative outlets

Many of the tips seem simple but adding few good habits to your routine will have a huge positive impact over time. It's important that it's done consistently. Even if you miss a day, pick it back up rather than giving up on it entirely (like exercising). Do it enough times, you get into a groove of doing it without much thought (like brushing your teeth). For example, plan your meals for the week (like Mexican on Monday, Italian on Tuesday, etc. and create your grocery list). Then each night when you get home, you don't have to think about what to make for dinner. You avoid the situation where you can't decide and end up ordering take-out pizza. For exercise, you can start small like taking the stairs instead of the elevator or parking the car a little further. No matter how busy you think are, these little habits can easily get in extra movement each day.

Awesome Book. It definitely gave good info on how to plan and master your day. Gave me good ideas on how to build routines for the day. Oh and here is a Tip Scott also gives you a pdf version. Now you can read when you dont want to listen.

This book provides the reader with many ideas for creating a daily routine. However, the book doesn't really go into depth on the mechanics of building a daily routine. Instead, it gives you general information about human behavior that should be considered when creating a routine. Much of this information comes from other self help books. In fact, I felt like I was listening to a summary of many other books and not hearing much original content.

If you've read other books on habit making, willpower, or mindfulness, then you will probably learn nothing new here.

The narration is actually pleasant and it moves along nicely. However, at times, the book's organization seems disjointed. This is definitely not a $10 audiobook. If you are really interested, I suggest you save yourself money and pay for the $.99 kindle version instead. It's a short read anyway.

This was my first S.J. Scott book, but I have already purchased another. What could be more helpful than learning to automate the tasks we all must perform so we can get on with the rest of our lives. In addition, thoughts were shared on having an excellent attitude about all we do, big or small.
