Book 4 in the Calloway Sisters series

With a seven-year age difference, Ryke and Daisy have faced an uphill battle in the eyes of the world and their families. Known as the most adventurous, fast-paced couple, their next step has always been elusive to the rabid media.

Behind the scenes, heartbreaking troubles continue to test Ryke and Daisy's resilience and shape their future together.

They promise: to never slow down. To never compromise who they are. To never abandon their love for each other.

But preserving their happiness also means adding more risks. Ones that even Connor Cobalt wouldn't take. As a professional free-solo climber, Ryke is no stranger to risk, but his next step with Daisy wagers more than just his health.

With their lives on the line, Ryke and Daisy head toward the vast, wild unknown in this epic final conclusion to the Addicted series.

My life is almost almost complete now

I just Ned SkOP and I'll be done, happy and complete with the whole warm and fuzzy. Krista and Becca, I've been with you ladies from the very start, ever since Lil woke up frat row with unknown asshat passed out and I'd keep on going and going. For anyone unfamiliar with the series. Read it. I can't tell you enough, these ladies have changed my life in ways I can't even explain.. Start from the beginning and do all ten books. They are beautiful and inspiring and truly amazing❤️❤️❤️

Ryke and Daisy have come a long way.

I keep typing and then backspacing, then typing again. I'm not sure where I want to go with this review. #Raisy is my least favorite couple of the Core 6, but at the end of this book, when Sulli was born, a major soft spot bloomed in my heart for them. Maybe I needed them to become parents for me to really appreciate them, which is weird because usually I'm all about being childfree. But I love the Like Us series, which is where it all started for me with this family, so I guess it only makes sense that seeing the start of the next generation makes me happy.
There was a point in this book where I had to set it aside, and I wasn't sure if I'd be coming back to it. If you've read it, you'll know what I'm talking about. I decided I wanted to see it through, though, so I came back to it, but I ended up skipping past a few chapters- my heart just couldn't handle what was coming.
After that it all seemed to move pretty quickly, and I really enjoyed the last part of the book.

I do really like how much Ryke and Daisy care for each other. I've always liked how protective Ryke is over Daisy, even before they were a couple. While the age difference would usually be a bit of a no go for me, especially with how young Daisy was at first, it really didn't bother me as much with these 2 as it normally would.
So this series has done a good job of flipping some of my normal "dislikes" on their head!

I loved the epilogue! And I can imagine how I would have felt so bereft reading it, thinking that was it for this family. But being so late to the game with this series, it just makes me more excited to revisit the Like Us books again, and Willow and Garrison's duet. I'm listening to a different book now, but will be jumping into Some Kind of Perfect next.

I love Stephen Dexter. He makes for a great Ryke. It was cute listening to him voice the little ones. Jessica Almasy is a good Daisy. I did feel like sometimes she was overplaying the part, though, with just how she projected certain sentences in certain scenes. But other times it worked. Her voice is what I'll associate with Daisy from now on, though!

Ryke & Daisy

Love this continuation of Ryke and Daisy's story. Made me laugh, cry, scream, and sigh all at the same time. They are a wonderful and enduring couple who deserve all the happiness in the world. Lots of ups and downs for the characters!

And Long Way Down is an epic love story.

4 Power Rush Stars

I’ve read every single Krista and Becca Ritchie book. I’ve re-read a lot of them via audio. There’s something about the Addicted and the Calloway Sisters series that just gives you such a crazy experience. I feel very connected to the characters. I love how all of the characters are unique and each couple has a unique love story.

Long Way down is Ryke and Daisy’s story.

I will admit, out of all of the characters, Ryke and Daisy are probably the couple I relate least to. I’m not silly, I’m not adventurous and I’m the least physical person out there, however what I love about Ryke and Daisy is their love for each other.

And Long Way Down is an epic love story.

Daisy is battling with how non-fertile she is and Ryke is her rock to help her through this. I, myself have battle through some fertility issues and you can’t help, but FEEL for the girl. That’s the thing with Krista and Becca Ritchie, they know how to write a book with feelings, emotions and they know how to get you to cry.

I did the audio version of this book because I wanted to feel all of these emotions and yes, I did, by ten-fold. Of course you still have the gang and I LOVE having all the sisters in the book. I love reading about the husbands, the kids and all the dynamics each couple is going through.

The major plot issue in the book, besides Daisy and her personal issues is the public opinion of the sisters. Not everyone is happy with them and they run into some sticky situations. This creates crazy drama and again it’s hard to read, but you feel for them.

I love Ryke’s non-filter mouth, but being the rock for Daisy isn’t an easy job. He’s outlet is rock climbing, but the more he climbs the more negative comments he gets from his brother in laws. Not everyone agrees with Ryke’s life style (including myself, but I’m not really fun).

I’m really glad the authors were able to get the original narrators for Long Way Down. I couldn’t imagine any other voice than Jessica Almasy and Stephen Dexter. I’ll admit that I have a voice crush on Stephen, I just love it! Both narrators are so good. They convey emotions really well and voice transition into the other characters flawlessly. I’m a major fan.

Long Way Down was a heart-wrenching read, but also heart-warming and beautiful. The soul reason why I read is because I love romance and the authors delivered. I simply love this series and I can’t wait to dive into Some Kind of Perfect.

Emotional roller coaster…

I enjoyed every part of the ride of Ryke and Daisy’s unorthodox life…living by their own rules

Good Finish

This is a nice but pretty emotional finish to the series. These are not my favorite characters but they do have a beautiful story. The narration was ok. I don't think the voices really fit the characters or maybe I just got used to hearing them from the other narrators in the series. The male narration was better than the female in my opinion but I did get used to it so it wasn't that bad.

I EFFING LOVE RYKE MEADOWS!

Any additional comments?

(If Audible's filter wouldn't catch the word, I would totally fill up this review Ryke-style, which may be the best way to convey the depth of my affection and to do the review justice. Because I effing loved this book.

First off, the audiobook version? SO GLAD THEY RECORDED IT!!! For the first part of the book, I laughed out loud at several scenes (Batprint comes to mind, heh heh) and then... and then... You know, I was scared to begin this story. (I shouldn't have doubted. I just finished Amour Amour (WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG???! If you are like me, and weren't sure it would be your thing; it will be. Trust me. I don't know how they have been able to formulate words on kindle = crack addiction to readers but they've done it. It's brilliant.) Why was I afraid to start LWD? Because when this book released, I remember the warnings. 'Don't flip to the end, no matter how tempted you are!' And they were right. DON'T DO IT!! I was glad I held out, but it was hard. The story is emotional, wonderful, moving. I really wasn't sure how events would wind up, it could have gone several ways and like real life, sometimes things were good, and sometimes they were really, really, really, really, really... REALLY bad.
Scary.
Heart wrenching.
But.
Soulmate Love. Has any writing duo ever captured soulmate love (and sibling love, and friend love!) any more poignant, funny, real? (Seriously, I'd love to know what books, I am totally on board listening to them) I LOVE their talent for this. I know that is why I have fallen into such adoration with the series; it is all in the relationships - all of them, even the screwed up ones with Jonathan Hale - WOW!! And it is time to one click The Last Of Us. LWD does wrap their lives up in an epilogue that will be fully satisfying - it really is - BUT TO KNOW THAT THEY DELVE DEEPER IN THE LAST OF US. I can't wait to read that one. Each couple is dear to me; a unique reading experience for sure. And!! I also fell in love with Willow & Garrison even more if that is possible. I desperately want to follow further along in their webseries and if they ever turn that into a full length book I'm all over it, it will be WORTH EVERY PENNY. These two are sweet!! So freaking sweet. They might be my favorite couple --- and that is REALLY saying something!

I haven't teared up during an audio this often in... awhile. There are a few books that I've felt like crying, and where I have actually been moved to tears, and LWD managed to wring several out of me. I was rooting so hard for Ryke & Daisy. THANK YOU KRISTA & BECCA FOR ANOTHER FABULOUS ADVENTURE!!
