The book was ok since it was free…it started off great but it was all over the place. I won’t spoil the book but it seemed to have a lot of unnecessary detail. The narrator read the entire book with a mouth full of spit that was hard to move past.

I like that the story spanned several years and that the listener experiences events as they unfold. The number of complex characters is what makes the story most engaging. Something’s were a little more far-fetched at then end, but the main revelation was artfully played out.

This kept my interest. There are lots of twist and turns that makes it difficult to put down. Initially, I thought the accent of the reader was going to drive me nuts, but I got past it. I enjoyed it.
