Publisher's summary

Montreal, Quebec . . . A charming city on the St. Lawrence River, historic, sophisticated, but beneath it all lies an extensive underground where treacherous vampires are plotting to seize the country.

Lucifer Scuderi is a vampire who arrives in Montreal to take on the most important hunt of his life. Someone has kidnapped the mate of Canada's ruling vampire lord, and it's up to Lucifer to find him before his death sets off a crisis that could engulf the entire continent.

Eleanor Morel lost everything when she became a vampire. But now, twenty years later, she's a trusted bodyguard to the Canadian lord, Sophia, and the only person Sophia can count on to lead the search for her endangered mate. But what Eleanor doesn't know is that the special hunter she'll be working with is none other than her long-lost love.

Lucifer's love for Eleanor burns as hot as his anger towards her for leaving him. But they'll have to find a way to set history aside and work together if they're going to unravel the twisted betrayal that threatens not only Sophia and her mate, but the whole continent. And if Canada falls, the rest of North America could follow . . .

Contains mature themes.

🌻I enjoy this series!🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas 🌻🌻🌻🌻

I have enjoyed this series, from the very beginning. I like that the female characters are strong and have their own minds. I also enjoy all the action and suspense. There are definitely some hot intimate scenes, which I like, also!

My only complaint is that I wish
The books were released faster but, I understand that some things can’t
Be rushed.

I’m anxiously waiting for the release of the next book, in the series. They have all been credit worthy!

Very good addition

Why the narrator change? This one was good, but nick Russo was the voice of all the other books. I personally didn’t like the change. It worked out anyway.

Great story, some odd editing moments

I love this book. The quality of the audiobook is a bit weird. There are longer than expected pauses and some abrupt voice / audio changes that seem like awkward editing.

Finally!

I'm so glad she's finally making more of the series available on audible. This is a favorite series, so it's been frustrating not being able to binge listen. Looking forward to the rest. Do wish the narrator would listen to the previous novels so he could stay consistent in pronouncing names and with specific characters accents, otherwise he did a great job.

Great Story, Narrator not So Much

I love this story. Always great to revisit previous characters and I am a sucker for a second chance romance. However I found the narrator to be very distracting. Some of the character voices, like Aden, were not great. He mispronounced character names ( Matilde, Rajmund). And there were weird pauses and audio quality differences). Hopefully this can be rectified.
