Publisher's summary
Like a genie’s lamp, whenever someone rubs against the coin, their deepest wish comes true. The other effect is that rubbing on the coin also brings them what they need the most. This coin only works once for each person but has changed hands many times.

Story
When Asha said she wanted to give the Chinese hackers a piece of her mind, she didn’t mean it literally. But that’s what happens when medical technology goes awry. Doctors said they could train her brain to interpret digital signals from the camera in her artificial eye. The module even has Wi-Fi so they can monitor signal traffic across her optic nerve. What they didn’t anticipate was that her brain would figure out how to use the Wi-Fi connection both ways. Asha can now see the internet.

Story
Far more than a "business memoir", What Are the Odds? is a raw, authentic account by a man many thought would never rise above his serial, addiction-fueled failures. Mike's gripping narrative transports listeners from his small-town tavern with its colorful cast of "regulars" to Mexico and a drug deal gone awry. From Las Vegas casinos, where Mike won and lost fortunes as a professional gambler, to a jail-cell beatdown. From failed rehabs to his 20-year marriage, an ideal union decimated by addiction. And finally, to the redemption of the most shameful moment of his life.

Story
If there's one lesson Oren Klaff has learned over decades of pitching, presenting, and closing long-shot, high-stakes deals, it's that people are sick of being marketed and sold to. Most of all, they hate being told what to think. The more you push them, the more they resist. What people love, however, is coming up with a great idea on their own, even if it's the idea you were guiding them to have all along. Often, the only way to get someone to sign is to make them feel like they're smarter than you.

Within minutes, the effects of instant karma would be felt by each one of us. Within hours it wouldn’t just be ordinary folks trying to figure out the new order—it would be everyone from the President down. Instant Karma is the story of that day. An extraordinary vision, and early adopters are quick to capitalise on the new dynamics while karma change deniers vehemently dig in their heels.

Lucky Coin
A short tale of a lucky coin that gives anyone who touches it the very thing that they want and the things that they need. Since this is a short read/listen, there isn't much character development but instead a short glimpse into the lives of those who touch the coin. Not a bad way to spend an hour. The narrator does a pretty good job with this tale.
I was given the chance to listen to the audiobook version of this book and chose to review it.

Such an awesome quick read
This would make a great movie/miniseries. I am a HUGE fan of James Livingood’s stories. (Frankenstein IT support!!!) this is just another great story that I have added to my collection and can’t recommend enough. It’s the story of a lucky coin as it travels and brings people what they need (not necessarily want) in strange and creative ways that can be seen to link together through various odd connections. A really great story. Listen, enjoy and recommend it to others. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher

cute short story
This was a cute story about the circulation of a magic coin that Grants the holder what they desire and most needs. At times I felt that I was in school being educated. Too many characters for a short story. I did not get the opportunity to really get to know any. This story lacked the personal touch or intimate relationship with the characters. I would have preferred concentrating on one main character and developing them. I received this free review book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This May Not Be Accurate
I admit this isn't a fair review as I didn't finish the book. That may be because I found the narrator's voice to be incredibly boring and kept thinking of the "Dick and Jane" book, with sentences like "Look, Jane see Spot run", short and choppy. It might well have been better if I had read it instead of listening to the narrator's voice. As it was, I stopped after the fourth chapter when I couldn't remember what it was about. Guess this is more a review of the narrator's performance than the book.
