excellent LitRPG in a fascinating world

excellent narration.
great story about a man who died in our world and was reborn in a new magic centered world

this is the second book in the series. the first book was also excellent

our hero has been marked by a God. he has "powers", but also limitations.

you should read this book, but start with the first.

3.5 stars, but still gonna buy the next book.

I found this second installment not as good as the first one for an obvious reason; very little happens for the majority of the book. I didn’t find it boring. It was still somewhat engaging as a slice of life plot, but not to the extent that I wasn’t a little disappointed.

Unfortunately, 90% of the plot is concentrated into a few chapters sprinkled throughout the book. Not to mention that the whole “Hogwarts” magic academy trope is so played out that an author really has to be imaginative to keep it from feeling tedious.

On the positive side, this series has a focus on characters and I find that the more time I spend with them, the more I enjoy the people and relationships that the author has crafted.

By the end of this audiobook the author had me back on their side and hungry for the next book, but I hope they do a better job with the plot pacing and school aspects in future books.

So I’d still recommend it, but if you’re a listener who prefers constant action and plot driven stories then this one might not be for you.

Good Story but with a lot of B.S.

This is a great story but the author needs to stop beating around the bush. He starts going into an explanation on why everyone hates the main characters mother and then backs off like 15 freaking times and instead goes on and on and on about his feelings. His heart goes pitter patter, his heart explodes with joy and emotion and and and he just isn't ready yet. It's total freaking B.S. I found myself screaming at the main character for being such a twerp.

Fire cody

The guy mastering your audio doesn't care. He let the narrator use the wrong voice on multiple lines making things impossible to understand. Either the author doesn't know how to write or in the critical end fight scene there's an action missing because there is just a random skip in the scene. Overall an okay follow up to the last book.

It's good but it could be awsome

This second book has a bit of "randomness" to it but it's still a great story.
I can't wait to see where this is going.

B- for this one

I was so excited to have this book. I wanted to listen to it as soon as it came out. I had to finish another good book before this one though. LOL. unfortunately this one didn't do it for me. I am just confused where the story is going? You will understand by the end of the book. I just think this book is a filler kind of which is weird bc He just got to the school so there should be some continuation of excitement.
*****SPOILERS*******
The issue with this story is after book one he goes to a school. You would think ok bullies and etc, but nope. Instead we got some random monster that really has nothing to do with the main story. Yes I believe what happened in the story could have still been used, but not the main part of the story. It was literally a random monster so how did the monster get there? Is it part of a bigger plot? Another issue I have is the whole family issue. I don't understand the full story and they just left it unanswered honestly. We know what the mother did, but we don't know why honestly. Now they are running around happy as can be and we are like ok what is the actual story other than an accident due to being to full of ones self. Anyways do better bc this story started off going places now we are like ????? Thank you

great book! so good. couldn't put it down

when I say it was so good I couldn't put it down. I mean it. I read all the books in the series (so far ) in less than 2 days. This is in one of my favorite genres and red by my favorite voice actor, Even if I didn't count those two facts being in its favor, this series probably just made its way into my top 10

Wonderful addition to the series and the struggles of the main character

Wonderful flow to the story. Great continuation of the story line from the first book to the second. Can't wait to listen to the third
