About this listen

Ellie Hawthorne's event-planning business desperately needs a jolt of life. Determined to drum up leads, she heads to Las Vegas for a trade conference - and has one too many shots of tequila. The next morning, Ellie wakes up with a ring on her finger and next to the last person she expected to see again: Connor Grayson, the high-school boyfriend who broke her heart.

Connor is in Vegas to secure funds for his self-driving car project. He's as shocked as Ellie is by their accidental marriage. But when he finds out that his beloved grandmother Viola has suffered a heart attack, he begs Ellie to keep up the charade - just until Viola recovers.

Neither of them could have guessed what Viola has planned. And Ellie starts to think that maybe she got luckier in Vegas than she could have ever imagined. With a little help from Viola and four elderly Elvis impersonators, can these former sweethearts find lasting love?

No real character development

The story line was a "blah" and there was no real character development.

The performance was decent, but it came off as too "breathlessly". It could have been the reading material that made it so.

Absolutely loved it. I hope she doesn't leave us hanging. Can't wait to see where the journey takes Jordan and Trevor.

Married at Midnight

What do you get when you mix one fiesta grandmother, four scheming Elvis’, and a drunk married in Vegas couple who haven’t spoken since they broke up in high school? A whole lot of mess! Connor and Ellie dated in high school and had grand plans for the future, until they broke up on prom night. They haven’t spoken to each other since, and each is still hurt over the circumstances of the break up that has more to do with their pasts and less to do with what actually happened. After a night in Vegas that started off with Tequila shots Ellie wakes up hungover and married to Connor. But before they can get an annulment or divorce Connor gets a calls that his Grandmother Viola has had a heart attack and the newlyweds decide to stay married to keep grandma happy. Much chaos ensues because grandma isn’t as weak and feeble and Connor thinks. This was a fun read a little slow paced for my liking but still a great story. Now to see if Jordan got her own hea.
