About this listen

A threat has emerged from the cosmos: Thanos, a ruthless warlord who plans to collect all six Infinity Stones. Joined by his formidable allies, he will be near-unstoppable at achieving his goal.

The Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man must join forces and fight side by side to stop Thanos, while the fate of the Earth and the universe lays in the balance.

This audiobook features the stories of three of the six Stones as The Collector recovers from his run-in with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Desperate to repopulate his vast collection of curios, he must contend with his brother The Grandmaster, who comes to him after facing Thor and the Hulk. The pair squares off in a night of one-upmanship and speculate on the only things in the universe that would return The Collector to his former glory - the Infinity Stones.

interesting...

I had no idea they were brothers! I love all the little MCU extras you get from some of these series.

Too much recap, not enough new content

The majority of the story was a recollection of past events with some new stuff sprinkled in. I'd prefer the reverse.

The Collector and his slave are well done. The Grandmaster is passible but no where near Goldblum's performance.

Like an extended "end credits" scene

I'm not certain what they were going for here. Seemed like the thought process was "If you want to catch up on events leading into Infinity War, but Don want to be bothered with watching the far superior movies...here's this mediocre book!"
That being said, I appreciate the narration. He did really well capturing the voices of Del Toro & Goldbloom.

Pretty good backstory

Getting a better understanding of the "Infinity" War back story. The dialogue was a bit much, I would have preferred more of a narrative of the story. But it was ok. I am looking forward to the rest.

The Cosmic Brothers' Journey

This story is set after the events of Thor: Ragnarok from the perspective of The Collector, a character we haven't seen since Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 1. The Grandmaster, fresh from the destruction of his empire on Sakar, runs into his brother and find themselves plunged into s journey to find the reality stone.
I highly recommend this for any Marvel fan. Also to anybody looking for a science fiction book to enjoy.

So fun! Wish there were more!

If you found The Collector to be an interesting character from the Marvel universe, then you'll love this book. What's great is that he goes around trying to improve his collection, and so you meet many other sellers and collectors, many are just as interesting and outlandish as The Collector himself, including his brother The Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum's character from Thor: Ragnarok). The narrator also does a great job providing unique voices for every character, and pretty soon you really get lost in the story. Will definitely read again.

Incredibly fun!

The narrator perfectly captures the voices of some beloved MCU characters and it makes the experience so much fun. I really loved this as a prelude into Infinity War. Great stuff!

Not bad

Marvel books continually disappoint, but this was one of the better ones. Performance is strong, story is okay. One complaint is that a good chunk of the book is one character literally telling the story of several marvel movies. That’s a bit of a cheap way to pad a book to me.
