About this listen

The final stretch of Arlan’s journey is here, but with it, the Demons’ final stand.

Arlan has one last obstacle in his way before he can escape from imminent death—a monster-infested mountain range.

But just as much as the monsters pose a threat to him, they also pose an opportunity. After all, an enemy is just a Level-up waiting to be claimed. The Demons are intent on not giving Arlan the time to get strong enough to beat them, though.

Continuing their hunt with one last push, they’ve gone all-in. And the Demonic leadership is feeling the pressure. To win, Arlan must think fast, fight hard, and increase his power to new heights. And that’s just what he plans to do.

Book two of a new LitRPG adventure filled with time magic, three-dimensional characters, a crunchy LitRPG system, tactical combat, and power progression where level-ups are hard-earned and bring with them meaningful change in characters’ abilities.

good book 2

this book fleshed out the mcs companions pretty well. I enjoyed the pacing and all of the fighting scenes. really looking forward to book 3. this book just like the first is just a book you can hit play and let it rip. no need to rewind to catch up with too many plot points to follow. good listen

A little repetitive

It’s incredibly unnecessary to repeat whole lines from the end of a chapter in the beginning of the next, but we’re doing it anyway.

The devil names are equally unnecessary. They are just so much. I’m glad that this book had fewer mentions than the first, but still.

Also, there was a chapter where the point of view goes to the past several minutes when switching between characters and it wasn’t clear until halfway through the chapter. That could have been presented better.

Also, I’m glad it’s vague about the MC killing himself each time to reset when he doesn’t want to waste the resets….

Action packed adventure

I really enjoyed the second book of the Minute Mage series. Great character development as a follow-up to the first novel.

Love the story but way to much foul language

Love the series and author but seems like ( to me) the author dropped the f bomb way to much , I not sure if I can continue buy or support the series. I drive and pick up my kids to school and sports, having one every now and then is ok, but it seems like all the characters are dropping the f bomb and shhhhitttt bomb, once again my opinion.

Exposition

So the first book had a ton of exposition in it and it seems the author decided to double down. This book is such a drag throughout most of the book. Author also likes the say the same thing in 3-10 sentences as if you didn’t get it the first time. Story feels padded because of this. Also if I remember correctly the end of the first book made it seem like our mc made it to safety and this new empire. Only he didn’t in this book he spends the whole time walking there in this one too. So the story doesn’t actually progress with new characters new locations and new challenges. This feels more like and addendum to book 1. Could have been worse but still a disappointment and leaving me wonder if further titles will be worth my time and money. I recommend if you are out of options. But only then.

MC sent full stupid

Little story progression, entire time walking, world building showing its cracks. The protagonist just seems a lot dumber now, not that he was a genius in the first place.
