Publisher's summary

On the day that Jeff Ryder learns he is going to be made a partner at Warrick, Thompson, and Hayes, his past catches up with him. The State Bar of California accuses him of coaching witness Marty Lewis to lie seven years earlier while he was working as a prosecutor in order to convict small-time con man Dillon Reese of the attempted murder of police officer Christopher Rafferty, a former Navy SEAL.

Jeff loses his million-dollar lifestyle but sets up his own law office, determined to clear his name by proving Reese is the shooter. Jeff discovers that Chris was wearing defective body armor made by Armor Up Corporation on the night he was shot. Jeff persuades Chris and his wife, Beth, to bring a negligence suit against Armor Up and the San Diego Police Department for millions in damages. Jeff forms a deep friendship with Chris, but that friendship is challenged when Jeff falls in love with Beth.

On the eve of proving that he never coached Lewis to lie, Jeff is arrested for a double murder. If he uses his alibi, Chris and Beth will be destroyed.

I could't stop listening

What made the experience of listening to Mirror, Mirror the most enjoyable?

I got involved with the characters. I cared for them. I learned about the legal system and the way the police gather evidence for prosecution in court. Prosecution and Defense systems.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Mirror, Mirror?

The tender moments between Jeff and Beth. The betrayal of so-called friends. The realization of what is important and what is not.

Which character – as performed by Alan Taylor – was your favorite?

Jeff the lawyer.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

How ignorant Jeff was as to the ways of the world. He was excellant in court but left wanting in real life. I laughed in parts and cried in others.

Any additional comments?

I would recommend this audio book to anyone who wants to get lost in another experience.

litigator Disappointment

The story line mostly good. Disappointed that the author was not more inventive. This could have been an awesome story if the author did not make the main character so dumb. Lazy writting.

Good story, believable & surprise end ing!

Too much time spent reviewing street addresses , boring & unnecessary. Good story w/twists & turns to plot, but too many unnecessary repetion of addresses

Awful

Hard to tell which was worse… The writing or the narration. Oh but let’s throw in a convoluted plot to sweeten the deal. Just awful

SAPPY! Not worth credit or my time.

The main character is so full of himself and only thinks about his next sexual conquest in the midst of being prosecuted and being disbarred for a trial in which he is accused of having a witness lie. Won’t be buying any further books by this author. She should keep her day job.
