Publisher's summary

Welcome to Nocturne Falls - the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year.

Jayne Frost is a lot of things. Winter elf, Jack Frost's daughter, Santa Claus' niece, heir to the Winter Throne, and now...private investigator. Sort of. When she buys a sealed box at an estate sale and cat-related circumstances cause that box to be opened, life in Nocturne Falls starts to go haywire. Jayne has no choice but to figure out what she unleashed and how to recapture it.

But Jayne suspects the woman behind the box is hiding something. Something that could cause a town resident serious trouble. Or, worse, to lose their life. With the help of her two favorite guys, a sexy vampire and a hot summer elf, and a few new friends, Jayne tackles what feels like an impossible mission. And winds up almost iced herself.

I liked it, light and airy.

The mystery is completely unknown without the physical clues Jane and her friends gather along the way.
Without the information about imps the story stops. From there the characters are able to solve the mystery with additional facts found along the way.

Cute story

The narrator adopts a babyish voice about half way through the story for the main character Jayne Frost which is off-putting. She has Frost sounding like a young woman in the first story and half-way through this story and then every now and again she has Jayne Frost speaking and the voice becomes babyish and sounds like she was sucking helium.

different name

I understand why they called her Jane, but Jacqueline would have been a better choice

Fun series

Welcome back To Nocturne Falls. I really enjoy this narrator Hollis McCarthy reading for Jayne Frost, she really brings it to life. Who knew estate shopping could go so wrong. Cute story and a well produced audible book.

If you read the first one, you know what to expect

This book was just as good, fun, easy and cute as the previous one. The complexity of the mystery was similar and you do get some mild character development. I really enjoyed it. This is the kind of book you listen to when you want to feel good and you don't really want to strain yourself mentally or emotionally. Jayne is fun the rest of the characters are still interesting, with some new characters introduced to keep things from being dull. The setting is still lovely.

The narrator did a great job again. She did nice variety of voices and accents and the narration flowed well.

Clean

Light, fun, clean. I liked the whole series. Mindless, but enough of a story to keep my interest

Perfect book to listen to when you need a new reality

Love the story even with its love triangle. I’m so glad spider got to spot light in this book doing what cats do. Jumping straight into book number three.

An easy listen

I recommend this book to all cat lovers and Nocturne Falls fans. Hollis does a great job narrating. This is a straightforward story about finding an escaped imp who is sowing havoc all over Nocturnal Falls. It also continues the story of Janes and her friends as well as introduce another supernatural.
