About this listen

A sweet cozy mystery, third in a best-selling series. Based in Oregon in a small beach town.

Amanda hadn't expected snow for Christmas on the Oregon Coast, but her first winter in Ravenwood Cove brings out long-dead secrets that someone is desperately trying to hide...no matter the cost. Hot chocolate, merry decorations, and purring cats give way to police investigations and a search for a ruthless killer.

I am hooked

I was hooked on this series after the first chapter of the first book. The main character isn’t a total twit, and there is only one dumb cluck in the cast. Best of all we don’t have to endure the endless inane description of hair, make and clothes. Send more please.

Enjoyable Book

I love audible books! I can work and listen to a story at the same time! I really enjoyed this book. It was fun to listen to! I have camped on the Oregon coast and can picture a town like this! I wish the rest of this series were on audible too.

Loved this series. Written very good. I get lost in listening to Dr. Dean books.

Best in series

I've enjoyed this series and found this installment to be particularly well written. It has a well crafted story, nice character development, several mysteries, and the picture perfect warm Christmas. I especially appreciate that this author allows the romance between Amanda and a James to evolve naturally without the usual push pull one finds in many mysteries.I enjoy their mutually respectful relationship that colors the story without distracting from the mystery.

Loved characters to visit with again

This third standalone in a series by Carolyn Dean doesn't disappoint. The main character, Amanda is being introduced to the residents of Ravenswood Cove, Oregon as we follow her through adventures. Amusing, inciteful and great writing are present here.
I can't wait for the next in the series

Exciting and holds my attention !

The characters are all plausible and the excitement continues throughout . And then the bad guy is really a surprising person . Yes there is some romance. But it does not get carried away with the romance . The characters get well developed and each one is very interesting . Okay, there is a murder , but who is the murderer? That is the exciting part !

Slightly tame for my taste.

A good story, but I go for more action, more blood and guts without going overboard.
