About this listen

Always the bridesmaid, never the bride?

Try always the florist.

This high-profile wedding gig comes with a dreamy week in paradise.

The sun, sand, and sea will make the hard work worth it.

Or so I thought until that dream becomes a nightmare.

When an old nemesis shows up, my mouth gets me in trouble, and suddenly, I’m pretending to be on my honeymoon. My “groom” is even worse.

Lorenzo Toscani.

The love ‘em and leave ‘em bad boy chef I’ve been warned about steps in to save the day.

He’s romance and heat, excitement and adventure, and all the bad decisions.

But I’ve never let that stop me before, so why start now?

Maybe this week could be the start of something special - especially when playing newlyweds feels so real.

Or is it just a case of what happens in paradise, stays in paradise?

Only one way to find out.... Let's fake this big, fat honeymoon!

Two wild spirits

I really have enjoyed this series. Always fun characters but this book has two wild spirits who meet because it’s her best friends cousin from Italy. They have an instant connection. But fear has Lorenzo leaving. By chance they end up in paradise together and a whole crazy scheme came together about them on their honeymoon. They’re both their for work and come to the conclusion that they like each other. The craziness starts here and is very entertaining!!

The family that fakes together

Three books, three siblings, three fake relationships. If you can’t suspend disbelief at the pretend-trifecta, then this series is not for you. As with many of the author’s books, I felt this ran too long. You could literally read the summary, then pick up an hour and a half in, and not miss a thing. Likewise the last hour and a half, which although not called an epilogue, is essentially what happens after the HEA.

Still, i enjoyed this book the most of the three. Partially, it’s because Abby is the free spirit of the bunch. Also, there’s really no conflict within the couple; all the conflict comes from external sources, courtesy of the most unbelievable Mean Girl from Abby’s high school days, a conniving woman from Lorenzo’s world, and all four of them coincidentally ending up on an island. I’m so glad the plot didn’t revolve around Abby and Lorenzo fighting the whole time or the tired schtick where where one of them thinks the other is cheating. Finally, I liked the cameos by the other two couples, Abby’s parents, and gay Archie (even if the cliches were beyond flaming).

I do agree with other reviewers, that the level of cks, cts, and pssy were amped compared to the other two books, with more frequent, and dirty, interactions. Not sure if it was the free spirit part or the honeymoon play-acting, but the raunch was strong with this one. The narrators made it work, however, and Lorenzo’s Italian accent softened the crassness.

The series isn’t grouped, although the titles make it easy to connect them. But, for easy reference:
Book 1: Big Fat Fake Wedding: Ross Andrews & Violet
Book 2: Big Fat Fake Engagement: Courtney Andrews & Kaede
Book 3: Big Fat Fake Honeymoon: Abby Andrews & Lorenzo

love it! the chemistry, the detail & the passion

Landish delivers again! The characters are so detailed that I can imagine them. it's not just the chemistry between the characters but also the passion they have for their respective art and the battled Abi has against the evil wedding planner and the stalker from her high school years - it's all told with detail and emotion that it is hard to put down. I loved Lorenzo's narrator but for some reason when he spoke as Meredith or one of the other characters it was sped up so they sounded like cartoon chipmunks.

I loved the book and highly recommend it as very entertaining but after 3 books following the same formula I am looking forward to something else by this author that is less formulaic - even with that said, it's still worth it. Maybe a spinoff can happen with Jeffrey from the Courtney & Kade story - he didn't seem all that bad just full of himself & had an evil daughter. A fun story with him was something I thought about when I listened to that story - maybe a opposite sides of the tracks lovestory?

HEA ending are the best, now aren't they?

i have read book 2, (yet to read book 1 ...i am trying to recall when or how did i miss book 1? from this series??!) this book, book 3 i listened to through Audible. it is hilarious. not sure why the "mixed reviews" (both on Audible and Amazon, i always do my research and try to figure out more on books or listens before i make a purchase, i had 2 credits available. (the reviews are mixed on this one? not sure why? i enjoyed it and i think it is a lighthearted, not heavy weighted down by life. it is funny. hilarious at times. silly. humorous. full of fun, great characters. family connections. friends too. on trip. sun and fun. HEA ending.) i have been finding Audible listens a bit of difficult thing to do lately, my hubby is not working from home and in my space, LOL!! so this is definitely a headphone listen, it would not be cool to do this listen in a professional setting, just saying, LOL!!)??! odd. i loved it. hilarious. now it is not kid (or mixed ears) if you know what i mean there ...folks who might be sensitive to cussing language or not polite conversation. but it is not that bad. compared to others i have heard. i enjoy J.F. Harding's voice. fun accent. Carly Robins ... i believe i have listened to her voice before??! i gotta check. i truly believe that voices make a difference. i wonder how many folks do this?? i mean i have go on my own to look up a narrator's books to see what they have narrating (so forth) fun to do so. i have a bit left ...but i wanted to get this review out. hope you are following here considering i am not allowed to review on Amazon website. i will get it to Audible asap. i am allowed there. that is another story. hope you are keeping up. i love Audible listens. i will say that finding the time sometimes is tough ... if you have lots of free time ... or maybe i should say that you have the time to listen and do other tasks ...then you will enjoy listens like this. so funny. like no drinking while listening ...or that will come out your nose for sure. so girlie giggles ... LL is hilarious. i have read her before ...it will not be my last. check it out! laters. reading (listening) always fun!

Unofficial Series, 3rd book, but a fun Rom Com

This was a great story and does stand alone, but references are made to two prior stories, so, if you enjoy a series, don’t start here.

It’s a great, modern Rom-com. Very witty with some great turns of phase. It’s also very heavy in the four and five letter words, so if you are offended by that, you won’t get past chapter 1.

The performances are great, although the Italian accent sometimes sounds a little more like Transylvania 🤣 depending on who is speaking.

Cook Lorenzo & Florist Abby pretend a honeymoon

While responding to the barbs of a snooty school rival. Abigail, the most free spirited and remaining unmarried Andrews sibling fakes a new marriage with Violet’s Italian cousin Lorenzo. The backdrop is Aruba while both working a celebrity wedding. This entertaining rom-com flows along with plenty of hot sex and developing romance. The stress of dealing with a nasty, unreasonable wedding planner, a mean girl former classmate, and a range of unexpected circumstances that wreak havoc with well laid planning along with snappy dialog make for a very good story. The narration of Carly Robbins and JF Harding is great when they stick with their own gender but a bit lacking with the opposite gender voice which can be distracting at times. Had they done a duet performance this would have received a perfect score but the story is too good to miss and well worth the credit if you enjoy a light hearted, clever, sexy romance.

Loved It!

The 3rd book in KK’s Big Fat Fake series, My Big Fat Fake Honeymoon was delightful! I listened to the series in order, and it really made a difference for me. Loved how each book was about siblings, was low angst, kept my interest from the very start, had tender, sweet scenes, along with steamy scenes, there was no cheating, and the H and h were intrinsically good people.. My Big Fat Fake Honeymoon was the steamiest of the three, in my opinion.

Written in first person with dual POVs, narration was fabulous! I’ve enjoyed J. F. Hoarding’s narration before, but found his performance with an Italian accent to be above and beyond his other work…yummy! Carly Robins is always great!
