About this listen

The narcissist is a force to be reckoned with. He is the reason that the courts are filled with nasty custody and divorce battles. He is passive-aggressive, fatalistic, negativistic, critical and stubborn. The narcissist uses many tactics to alienate the children from others in their life. He is one of the reasons that Parental Alienation exists.

This audiobook seeks to discuss the various tools that are launched against the children of the narcissist. If the children are not cared for adequately by others due to the narcissist's immature behaviors, the deprivation of their needs by the narcissist will ultimately cause the children to also grow up being narcissistic or emotionally immature in their relations with the world around them. They will view the world as a hostile place with little forgiveness.

Our goal is to educate those who work with or live with children. Many parents who are up against a narcissist in a custody battle or in a divorce tend to give up custody to the narcissist. Or they might lose custody to the narcissist. One doesn't have to be the victim of a narcissistic parent or of the parental alienation that happens due to Narcissistic Personality Disorder. A person can learn about Parental Alienation, the tools involved, and better prepare for handling the immature narcissist in court and in life.

Good Listen

Brief but a good listen. Grateful to have words to identify what we are experiencing.

Short and limited info

I loved how he pointed out import facts about my ex and what he does to my child. It is so clear and helped me put words into what I already felt.

Whew the narration was very poorly done

Narrator was not good, not good at all. He spoke like a robot and I could hear him turning the pages as he spoke. Content was not one of her best books. Plus the narration made it extremely difficult to make it thru the whole book.

I didn't love it

I appreciate the book for laying out the ways the narcissist uses children in a divorce to alienate the other parent and cause the child(ren) harm but then it just stopped there. Very little advice or solutions for what to do next or how to get through it. Author's voice was a bit harsh and matter of fact which made the information harder to hear. Felt like being led to the edge of a cliff and then left there alone.

1 useful point at the end-go to court.
Recognition points but not much beyond that
