About this listen

To my fans, I'm known as Ivan Fitzgerald. To my teammates, I'm just Fitz. To the girl I've been talking to online, I'm ShootsAndScores.

There's no doubt in my mind that the woman on the other side of the screen is completely out of my league. Why wouldn't she be? Sure, I'm a professional hockey player, but that doesn't mean anything when I'm shy and awkward in the most basic social situations, and she's a fiery vixen who oozes sex appeal.

No matter how badly I want her, I can't have her. Because the woman I love watching so much? The one I might be slowly falling for? She's not just some stranger on the internet. It's Rosie, the woman who serves me coffee and donuts every morning.

And she has no clue it's me.

Neutral Zone is a standalone sports romance novel. It features a hot hockey player with a missing tooth who likes to watch, a curvy baker who moonlights as a cam girl, lots of fun banter, and steam!

Neutral Zone is the last book in the Carolina Comets series, and this is Fitz and Rosie’s book. Rosie works on the donuts food truck, but she wants to own a bakery. She also works as cam girl at night, and Fitz subscribes to her as his particular kink is voyeurism.

Rosie and Fitz are mutually pining for each other until Halloween. They are hot together, but Rosie needed to figure out to love herself without Fitz. Rosie was fat shamed on page but not by Fitz, and she had to deal with it. The romance was cute and I enjoyed the story.

Audiobook review - narrated by: Tim Paige and Callie Dalton

3.5 stars for story
5 stars for performance

I really love this series because the hockey players on this team are so lovable and fun. Fitz is no different. We finally get a good look into his life and his likes and dislikes. One of those likes has given him an insight into Rosie’s secret job as a cam girl. My favorite part of the story is how accepting both Fitz and Rosie are with each other.

The narration is so good. I appreciate both Tim Paige and Callie Dalton for the attention to detail. The smallest nuances make the biggest difference and these two are amazing at it. It is hard to binge this series though because the same two narrators are used for each book. They are great though!!

Love these hockey players

I am not ready for this series to end but if it had to this was the way to do it. I loved how the author brought these characters to life. I loved the character’s journeys of self acceptance and the beauty of finding someone who loved them completely. The spicy bits were great but my favorite part was the love story.

I’m really struggling to describe this book and why you should read it without giving anything away so I’m going to say just read it. You won’t regret it.

Loved it

Fitz gets a book!!!!!!! I am so thankful to have gotten an audio copy of Neutral zone from Teagan Hunter and Valentine PR. I loved Fitz and Rosie’s story so much.

We’ve met Fitz and Rosie before in other books in the Carolina Comets series. Fitz is a star hockey player on the Caroline Comets and Rosie is a baker who works at Scout’s Sweets (the donut truck) that has a little side business going on. Fitz has been a big fan of Rosie’s streaming channel and they DM constantly, but Fitz knows who’s on the other side and Rosie has no clue she’s talking to her crush. When things begin to heat up in person, can the two of them overcome that little secret Fitz has been hiding?

This book was super cute. The banter was great, there were some laugh out loud moments, and the romance was amazing. I love the secret pen pal trope and the twist on this one made it extra good in my opinion. This was a great audiobook and I really enjoyed this addition to the series!

A spicy twist on the secret pen pal trope!

I listened to the audio version of this book narrated by Tim Paige and Callie Dalton. The narration was pleasant and the voices were perfect for the parts of the characters.

This was a pretty steamy (4/5) sports romance. Rosie and Ivan were definitely on each other's radar before they actually did anything about it. I loved that Ivan was sort of shy and hesitant at first and that he kept saying stupid things to her. It was really cute. Rosie was finally a little more aggressive in talking to him and getting things rolling. They definitely had some communication issues (enter Carl, Ivan's female cat). This was definitely a fun listen!

Thanks to Valentine PR for the gifted copy of this audiobook. All thoughts are my own.

A fun, steamy listen!

It’s back to the Carolina Comets hockey family for the romance of Ivan Fitzgerald. Fitz is shy, a bit awkward with a passion for strawberries. He also enjoys a big it voyeurism with his partners.

Rosie is a plus sized beauty with an online presence that is right up Fitz’s line. Unknown to Rosie, He is one of many who subscribe to her page to watch her.

They both have a few insecurities and stumble when they are together. A few mishaps and misunderstandings along with the laughs from the rest of the crew make this a perfect addition to the series.

Fast paced and steamy.
The narrators did a great job bringing the characters to life.

Neutral Zone was a fun, flirty, and spicy addition to the Carolina Comets series. Fitz and Rosie’s story was completely different than what I expected, but their journey was still emotional and I loved this pairing so much. They were perfectly matched.

Rosie had struggled to feel seen and accepted in her past so she’s tried to break free from her past misconceptions. She’s feisty and independent, but deep down, she’s insecure and unsure of herself. I loved how Fitz uplifted and supported her unconditionally. His encouragement helped her blossom even more.

Fitz was an absolute sweetheart. I loved his shyness and his love for strawberries and Carl. He’s a bit awkward, but it just makes him that much more endearing. Rosie helps him start to love what he sees as flaws and I loved how she made him feel more accepted.

Both Rosie and Fitz have a vulnerability that makes them so relatable and I loved how they both were a bit shy and awkward with one another. Their chemistry is absolute fire and the heat in this book is electric. They truly empowered one another and made each other into happier, more fulfilled people who can be themselves without any false pretenses.

Tim Paige and Callie Dalton narrate Fitz and Rosie and both do a great job of bringing these characters to life. Each of them conveyed all the emotions the characters were feeling and helped me immerse myself in story.

If you like dirty-talking, cinnamon roll heroes, feisty and lovable heroines, a whole lot of steam and so much heart, you will love Neutral Zone. This story was emotional, heartwarming and highly addictive. I loved Fitz and Rosie and this entire series. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us next.

This was a cute read! Every time Rosie said something that sounded wrong I couldn’t help but chuckle. It was cute seeing how they got together and how awkward Fitz was. This is part of The Carolina Comets series but can be read as a standalone. I have not read the others in the series but I still liked the story and didn’t feel like I was missing out. I really enjoy Teagan Hunter’s writing.
The narrators did a great job and fit the characters perfectly.

Audiobook Review
Narrators: Tim Paige & Callie Dalton

Tropes:
-Hockey Romance
-Cam girl Heroine/ Shy Hero
-Cute Pet
-Big Fun Friend Group

I listened to this as a standalone and although many of the previous couples are mentioned I did not feel confused about the plot at all.
This book follows Fitz (a hockey player) and Rosie (a Donut food truck worked by day and a cam girl by night). Fitz is a shy guy who prefers to "watch". Rosie has always had a little crush on him.
The narrators both played their characters well! They brought the cute banter, spicy moments and a little bit of heartache.

Thank you to Valentine PR for the free audiobook. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
