About this listen

“I don’t think this complex is big enough for the both of us, Dr. St. Clair.”

Staring up into the eyes of Ethan Fuller, the single dad and divorce attorney who opened his practice in the same complex as mine, I should have known he was bad news—for my business and my heart.

But when has that organ in our chests ever listened to rational thought, huh, ladies?

As a marriage and sex therapist, I take pride in helping couples revitalize their marriages, or women embrace their sexuality, focusing on empowerment and fighting for love.

But Ethan Fuller stands for the opposite of everything I believe in with a mischievous smile that makes me weak in the knees, threatening my business and everything I’ve built, and eventually sparking a prank war between us.

Until the day he kisses me—and then nothing makes sense besides the raw magnetism I feel for him, and the pure adoration I have for his son.

My brain tells me to be cautious, but my heart leads the way as we give in to our feelings toward one another and visions of our future are all I can see. Until that vision is threatened by one admission that has us struggling to catch our breaths and acknowledging what we truly feel.

And even though I know that walking away was the right thing to do, I fight to uphold the promises I made to his son and myself—the types of promises that have me realizing there is no other man I could see my future with.

What do you do when the person you’re supposed to be with is too scared to admit it? What do you do when you refuse to sacrifice what you want and who you are for a man? And how do you move on when in your heart you know, there’s no one else?

Banter perfection!

No One Else- Harlow James
Narrated by Noah B Perez and Emma Wilder

Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Narration 🎧🎧🎧🎧

I loved the premise of this story…Therapist vs Divorce Lawyer, new neighbors in the same business complex, hot af divorced grump and sexy af sunshine marriage and sex doctor. The banter in this was off the charts, with pranks for days! And the spice?! Did I mention that she partners with sex toy companies and has to test them all personally before recommending them to her clients? Yeah, he helps her out with the testing! He also has a little boy whom she falls for even before she falls for his daddy. He’s absolutely adorable and gets into all the shenanigans. Of course she has her ladies who brunch to help her with advice along the way, and he kind of has his dudes in his corner as well, but let’s be honest they’re all on her side. 😂😂

Noah and Emma did a great job. I love when narrators can do a good kid voice and they did amazing! I can’t wait to listen to more of these two!

Emma Wilder's narration was truly exceptional. Her pacing and ability to create distinct character voices made listening to the story an absolute delight. Particularly impressive was her male character voice, a feat not easily accomplished, yet she managed it effortlessly. Oliver's childlike voice was spot on, adding depth and authenticity to the narrative.

Noah is a new to me narrator and I felt like he brought a refreshing tone that was easy to listen to. Although his voice didn't align perfectly with the character I had imagined, his performance was nonetheless captivating.

📚Story review📚
No One Else is beautiful story about a sex/family therapist who moves into a complex with a rival divorce attorney that delves into the complexities of love, family, and friendship. Harlow has a knack for crafting relatable, real-life characters, and this story is no exception. I absolutely adore the friend group she’s created in this series and how she weaves and builds on previous stories, but not in a way that leaves you lost if you read them as a standalone. Little Oliver was such a well written child character and totally stole the spotlight at times. Sweet, sweet Oliver. Be still my momma heart! ❤️

Overall this was a touching reminder of the beauty found in life's simplest moments, that left me warm and fuzzy long after the final page was turned. A must-read for anyone seeking a heartwarming escape into a world where love truly conquers and heals.

Love love love!

No One Else by Harlow James is book 2 in The Ladies Who Brunch series. We met Amelia in book one. Amelia is a marriage & s*x counselor who is excited to move her in-home practice to a new office. What she didn’t expect was that right across the courtyard would be a divorce attorney, Ethan. Ethan is a jaded single father who doesn’t believe in marriage. So needless to say there is some tension between the two. Which quickly becomes sexual.

I devoured this book! Ethan and Amelia’s chemistry is smoking hot, which made the spicy scenes that much better. Single dad isn’t typically a trope of mine, but Ethan had me changing my mind. The way he took care of his son and Amelia had me swooning.

This was my first time listening to both Emma Wilder and Noah B. Perez, both were amazing! No One Else is narrated in dual style, and both narrators did a wonderful job voicing the opposite sex. They didn’t just bring their characters to life, they made it so you could feel the tension, chemistry, passion and emotion of the book.

Ethan & Amelia plus Oliver

After listening to book 1 in this series on audio, I knew I needed to continue this series. No one else, book 2 in The Ladies Who Brunch series, follows marriage and sex therapist Amelia and Ethan is a single dad, divorce attorney who at first doesn't believe in Amelia's work. Both recently moved their practices into the same complex and their relationship starts off pretty rocky. The chemistry between them was undeniable, and that's how you end up in a romance with two people who don't see the same future together, with an affair ready to explode in their faces. Ethan's son Oliver is just the cutest thing. I am so ready to listen to the rest of the series!

The rivalry between the MCs is great!

Audiobook and Book Review

💛 Divorce attorney
💚 S3x/marriage therapist
💛 Single dad
💚 Mutual arrangement
💛 Protective
💚 Smorgasbord of toys 😏

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️
Narration: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a second chance, grumpy sunshine story. Harlow James talks about real life issues in a way that eases the heaviness of it. As a person who is married with two children, this story is easily relatable. I mean, the conversations between the couple Amelia was counseling in the first few paragraphs of chapter one hit me hard. 😅

Amelia is a s3x and couples therapist. She has three best friends that she meets with every Sunday for brunch to share life with, its very Sex and the City-esque. We met Charlotte, Noelle, and Penelope the first book in the series, Never Say Never. So you definitely want to read that book first. Amelia is finally opening up her practice in a new location. She didn’t count on her new neighbor being a divorce attorney. That’s not an issue waiting to happen…lol.

Ethan Fuller is a single dad who is jaded by his ex. When he moved with his son to be closer to his mom so she could help out, he didn’t think his new work location would come with a couple’s counselor. Amelia may be a stunner to look at, but he couldn’t help but give her sh!t as often as possible. It’s this little rivalry that led to a truce, and an agreement.

If you want to know how gelato, gnomes, orchids, and sęx toys relate to one another, then read this story. It was enjoyable to see the banter and closeness. It dealt with overcoming fears, facing reality, and admitting that your perspective can change if you give it a chance.

This was my first time listening to Noah E. Perez and he did not disappoint. I really enjoyed his tone and how he brought out all of the characters. He brought out all of Ethan’s sides in the story, and I really appreciated his take on all of the female characters. Not all male narrators can do that well, and he truly did.

I’ve listened to Emma Wilder before and she did a great job again. She has a great range that she brings out for each character and their personalities. I also enjoyed when she was narrating for Ethan’s character, every time she said “F**k” I may have melted a little. 🫠😂

I want to thank HCB =)

🍨 “I can’t f*** her out of my system, so pissing her off will just have to be the next best thing.”
🍨 “I told you to keep your eyes on me.”
🍨 “Don’t c**e until I tell you.” “But I’m close. God, please…” “Don’t f***ing come, Amelia. I’m not done with you yet.”
🍨 “I’m saying I don’t know what I want anymore, but all I know is I want you.”

My Favorite!

4.5*
Amelia and Ethan

Narrators did a really good job!

Amelia is a therapist who specializes in couples relationship/sex victims. Ethan is a grumpy disgruntled single dad who is a divorce attorney who opens his office across from Amelia. This is my favorite one in the series. These two start throwing verbal jabs at each other that then turn into prank wars. Then when they realize the tension becomes more intense they call a truce that turns into an arrangement which includes lots of O's. Great Story and wonderful characters. Throw in an adorable little boy which made me a little emotional and he was cute and funny.

Amelia & Ethan

Amelia is a marriage and sex therapist, her mission in life is to help couples revitalize their marriages and help women embrace their sexuality. When she moves into a new building for her practice, she meets her neighbor Ethan who stands for the opposite as he is a divorce attorney. A prank war ensues between the two but along the way feelings start to change and truths come to light.

Wow the instant chemistry between Amelia and Ethan was great! The tension when they were around each other was HOT! Their banter was incredible and their prank war had me laughing! I adored Ethan’s son Oliver! He was so cute!

I listened to the audiobook and both narrators did a great job! They brought the heat and heartfelt emotions of each character! I am always so impressed how the narrators can switch up their voices so well to portray other characters!
