About this listen

The first time I met Miles Aldrich, he stole my cupcakes.

The second time, I handed him a bill for what he owed me. He's a billionaire after all. He can afford it.

The third time we met… well, that was the biggest surprise of all. I walked into his office looking for help with a business plan. But I somehow walked out with a fake boyfriend.

Miles claims the plan is simple: he'll lend me his powerful family's reputation by posing as my boyfriend. I'll gain important contacts, and he'll have someone by his side so he doesn't have to make excuses for why he's not dating anyone.

For one whole summer, Miles Aldrich is not so truly mine. The real man behind the smooth lines and flirty smiles is nothing like I assumed.

He's sunshine in a tall, gorgeous package. He kisses me like his life depends on it.

Logically, I know this relationship of ours isn't real. But the problem is… the feelings he's bringing out in me are true as can be.

I loved getting to see a deeper side of Miles and the way that he grew and matured but never lost his personality. I love seeing that his family and friends came to love him openly and understand him as well, and mostly I love the way that Daisy loved him and they took care of Reed together.

Just wow…

This book brought so many emotions out of me. Just like with Elliot’s story it is so clear that when you find the person who accepts you for all you are instead of trying to “fix” you or change you to something else, it’s magical. The way Miles was able to also be there for Reed and help him through some of the dark days since he knew what it was like to feel alone and isolated healed my heart a bit. This story was a bit unconventional and wasn’t what I was expecting but I loved every second of it! Such a compelling story and characters. I’m glad we finally got to see Miles become the man he wanted to be way back in Book 1 but just didn’t know how to get there. Love and patience and persistence in being there for someone even when it’s hard makes a world of difference.

Miles and Daisy (and Reed)

A very different side of Miles. If you’ve seen Miles in the other books in this series, you’re used to a happy go lucky guy. This is a very different guy. He’s very real and sober for a year. That’s not to say that this book is sad, but you’ll definitely get all the feels here! This is an excellent add to the series, great writing and storyline. The narration is top notch. Loved it.

Very good but very different

I have been so anxious for Miles’ story and this surpassed my expectations. It was so easy to become invested in Miles and Daisy’s characters. Miles has evolved so much in each book and he got his epic story and HEA. Highly recommend! Narration was great too.

BEST of the series!

I read the book first, and I loved it enough to get the audiobook and it was brought to life beautifully. Both the narrators did an excellent job with some loveable characters,l. Julia Wolf is an exceptional writer- I find her to use imagery more effectively than other romance writers, her angst is just right for this Goldilocks, and she balances the romance with enough plot to keep it interesting. This story was especially touching- I teared up but didn’t have a full sob fest, which was good because I was driving. Like all her books, Wolf does a great job of introducing characters from previous and upcoming books without rehashing their stories. I Love the growth that Miles and Daisy showed- definitely a beautiful story of two people who fall in love and make each other better as individuals. Secondary characters were charming and filled out the story rather than being thrown in for comic relief or to stir trouble.

If you like LJ Shen, I’d highly recommend checking this out. There’s a great story, spice is nice without being OTT, MMC is totally swoonable, FMC is adorable (I could actually be her friend) and people aren’t cookie-cutter romance characters. Just a really enjoyable story for reading or listening.

An excellent read, an excellent listen
