About this listen

The first time I met Miles Aldrich, he stole my cupcakes.

The second time, I handed him a bill for what he owed me. He's a billionaire after all. He can afford it.

The third time we met… well, that was the biggest surprise of all. I walked into his office looking for help with a business plan. But I somehow walked out with a fake boyfriend.

Miles claims the plan is simple: he'll lend me his powerful family's reputation by posing as my boyfriend. I'll gain important contacts, and he'll have someone by his side so he doesn't have to make excuses for why he's not dating anyone.

For one whole summer, Miles Aldrich is not so truly mine. The real man behind the smooth lines and flirty smiles is nothing like I assumed.

He's sunshine in a tall, gorgeous package. He kisses me like his life depends on it.

Logically, I know this relationship of ours isn't real. But the problem is… the feelings he's bringing out in me are true as can be.

Just wow…

I loved getting to see a deeper side of Miles and the way that he grew and matured but never lost his personality. I love seeing that his family and friends came to love him openly and understand him as well, and mostly I love the way that Daisy loved him and they took care of Reed together.

Fake Dating/Opposites Attract

Daisy is trying to just succeed with the passion of baking but she is constantly thrown hurtles to prevent that. Miles is known as the black sheep of the family. Now that he’s sober he’s still getting the bad wrap of being a drunk, by his family and friends.

They both meet in a bar… I know! Why is a recovering alcoholic in a bar but he’s helping out a friend by bartending.. Miles sees A woman out a bakery box behind the bar. He gives in and checks it out, finding cupcakes, he eats some. When Daisy comes back to fill up her tray, he’s so confused. Daisy sells cupcakes and charcuterie cups to the patrons. She realizes cupcakes are missing so she turns around and demands payment for the cupcakes.

Miles comes from a well known wealthy family. Daisy comes from a well know family but not in a successful way, her family owns the funeral home in town.

Daisy gets suggested to go to a company to help her with the start up of her business. When she shows up, it’s Miles. He offers to help her get her business started and by doing that they fake date. His well known name will help her get clients and in return she will help him look good to his family by having a strong meaningful relationship.

Perfection.

We have been waiting for Miles’s book and boy did Julia deliver. I didn’t think anyone could top Elliot but I should have known better- that golden retriever Miles is absolutely my catnip. I honestly might just immediately re-read.

I have also gotten very picky recently with narrators, but these two absolutely nailed it. Perfect casting.

BEST of the series!

I have been so anxious for Miles’ story and this surpassed my expectations. It was so easy to become invested in Miles and Daisy’s characters. Miles has evolved so much in each book and he got his epic story and HEA. Highly recommend! Narration was great too.

Very good but very different

A very different side of Miles. If you’ve seen Miles in the other books in this series, you’re used to a happy go lucky guy. This is a very different guy. He’s very real and sober for a year. That’s not to say that this book is sad, but you’ll definitely get all the feels here! This is an excellent add to the series, great writing and storyline. The narration is top notch. Loved it.

Miles and Daisy (and Reed)

This book brought so many emotions out of me. Just like with Elliot’s story it is so clear that when you find the person who accepts you for all you are instead of trying to “fix” you or change you to something else, it’s magical. The way Miles was able to also be there for Reed and help him through some of the dark days since he knew what it was like to feel alone and isolated healed my heart a bit. This story was a bit unconventional and wasn’t what I was expecting but I loved every second of it! Such a compelling story and characters. I’m glad we finally got to see Miles become the man he wanted to be way back in Book 1 but just didn’t know how to get there. Love and patience and persistence in being there for someone even when it’s hard makes a world of difference.

Sweet

There’s something about a story when the two characters genuinely like and care for one another. Care about their wellbeing and their families. Miles and Daisy were so sweet. There wasn’t a ton of angst or things getting in the way, which is not a bad thing. It’s nice to read these things that just make you feel all warm and fuzzy. I enjoyed it a lot. Thanks Julia Wolf!

Beautiful ending to this series

Love these two narrators. They make the story come alive. Miles and Daisy adventures, romance and story plot with modern day references makes this story believable. Love the way this author develops her characters and their world.
