A lot of this book will resonate with parents who want to practice gentle parenting but are afraid they cannot with their child's condition. This book gives you the tools to be the parent you were hoping to be. Mia Collins' approach is positive and encouraging, and her tips and tricks have been incredibly helpful in managing my child's behavior. ODD is out of the control of the child for the most part, so it is the parent that needs to adapt and meet their child where they are. The message of the book is hopeful, which is always nice to walk away from a book with.
