About this listen

A funny thing happened....

Unlike most men of his acquaintance, Gregory Bridgerton believes in true love. And he is convinced that when he finds the woman of his dreams, he will know in an instant that she is the one. And that is exactly what happened. Except....

She wasn’t the one. In fact, the ravishing Miss Hermione Watson is in love with another. But her best friend, the ever-practical Lady Lucinda Abernathy, wants to save Hermione from a disastrous alliance, so she offers to help Gregory win her over. But in the process, Lucy falls in love. With Gregory! Except....

Lucy is engaged. And her uncle is not inclined to let her back out of the betrothal, even once Gregory comes to his senses and realizes that it is Lucy, with her sharp wit and sunny smile, who makes his heart sing. And now, on the way to the wedding, Gregory must risk everything to ensure that when it comes time to kiss the bride, he is the only man standing at the altar....

excellent narration another great story

it's surprising that the author is able to create so many interesting relationships. Bridgerton family seems like old friends, yet each relationship is unique

Sex

Good story but rather predictable. While I can see how sex during that time period could be empowering because women were considered nothing without men. I felt the need to fast forward because it's like a little porno mixed in with what is a good story. After all 8 books it becomes tiresome to say the least.

Oh boy..

The last Bridgerton book, at least that of the children, did not disappoint. Get ready for a rollercoaster!

nail bitter

Really enjoyed this book. All of the Brigerton books are good but a few stand out and this one definitely did.

Good but not as compelling as the previous Bridgerton

Good but not as compelling as the previous Bridgertons. It had to many flash backs. I found it hard to follow

Well done ending to a great series

Yay! Gregory's story! I loved seeing glimpses of him throughout the series and it was so nice to see him get his Happily Ever After. Loss of one star due to Lucy's self imposed belief in her own practicality (read: naivete) which drove me nuts; and every time I heard "his/her lips parted" it set my teeth on edge(apparently, no one's mouth drops open and no one gapes to register shock or surprise or disbelief in the Bridgerton world, just lips part--I stopped counting after the twelfth time I heard it in the in same context), but still a well done send off for my Bridgertons. Rosalyn Landor perfect, as always.

Easy reading

I thought it was a little far fetch that when he saw a beautiful woman, he immediately falls in love with them. However, I did enjoy the funny parts of this book. Great humor.
