About this listen

Natalie Thompson wakes up in a basement without any memory of how she got there. With her memories a blur, she feels alone in a seemingly abandoned and very strange town. Within this town, creatures who can get a glimpse of human life through a portal are no longer content with their undead status.

With the works of a government conspiracy and a few megalomaniac scientists, the portals are expanding. Now these creatures are threatening our civilization, and our world is on the brink of destruction. Can Natalie control the artificial intelligence chip and regain her memory in time before all of humanity is lost?

A unique twist on the undead

Operation D3 hooked me from the first chapter with its gradually unfolding mystery. How did Natalie Thompson end up in this strange town? Why can’t she remember anything? Can she trust the mysterious Walter? Each time Natalie encountered new questions, I was pulled in deeper, eager for answers. This is no typical zombie story. These undead monsters are unique creatures unlike anything I’ve encountered in science fiction before. This is a great story for fans of shows like X-Files, Fringe, and Dark. Well worth a listen.

A thrilling story from beginning to end.

Without spoiling anything, this story has a unique twist on the horror genre that kept me entertained throughout. I loved unraveling the mystery alongside Natalie and was genuinely surprised at every turn. A must read (or listen) for anyone who loves a well paced, thrilling adventure.

LOVE

such a good story, with so many lovable (and hate-able lol) characters. as a lifelong sci-fi/fantasy fan, i was hooked from ch 1 and loved the twists pf donato took in the story. natalie is the perfect lens to experience this world through. I'll be following this author closely!

Zombies meet The Dome A tired plot revisited The vision is grand but the characters are weak and their lines uninspiring

A snoozer. Put me to sleep. In fairness, I’m not a fan of zombies or The Dome. But I expected the writing to be better. Stereotypes and barely developed extras do most of the work. One major character is known only as Seth. He has no backstory. But he keeps popping up. Natalie is the most complete character but we only get teasing hints about her story until the very end. Even then she supposed to be the new Mose but she comes across as a lost child.
