Story
One day, I was at a restaurant with my wife, and as we were finishing up our meal, our server handed us a survey form. Realizing neither of us had a pen, my wife told me to ask the server if we could borrow one to fill out the form. Instead of doing this, I walked to the parking lot, retrieved a pen from our car, and walked back to our table. It would’ve been easier to just borrow a pen, but I opted for the route that involved less social interaction. I did this automatically, without even thinking.

My absolute favorite tool
All of this is done by Richard Bass with wonderful compassion and without the use of jargon that I've found to exacerbate anxiety in previous books I've read on the subject. A few of the tools have already been utilized by me with my own clientele. The portions on maintaining motivation for school while overcoming melancholy and building optimism about school are already notably successful.

You may alter the questions for younger children and utilize these for both groups and individuals, depending on the diagnosis. I also appreciate how diverse the themes are. Therapist!!
The information Richard Bass offered, in my opinion as a middle school social worker, specifically addresses the problems that my pupils face every day. His book is incredibly easy to use for both students and mental health professionals. Teenagers may readily grasp and connect to the scenarios offered because of the information's presentation.
