Perfect

I was a bit apprehensive about the narrator voice at first. But this was absolutely captivating. Brilliant.

Another great book from James Patterson

I really enjoyed the overall storyline . I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. However, there are a couple of things that caused me to give it 4 out of 5 stars. So the first is the narration. The voice made it hard to stay focused on the story. The southern accent was awful and the different tones used for different characters made it hard to follow who was talking to whom. Another reason was the information within the story. I understand that the book is a work of fiction and therefore doesn't necessarily need to be 100% accurate, but some things need to be correct to be believable. There are several times that pharmaceutical drugs are mentioned and the way the character was affected by them was completely wrong. I noticed that when these inconsistencies came up, I was thinking about how if (character 's name) had taken all of those together, he would be dead or in extreme pain.
Aside from those 2 issues, the book was great.

Deeply Disturbing Murder Mystery

This is another great Alex Cross story. He is more vulnerable than in the previous novels. The Villain is diabolical and yet realistic. There seemed to have been one chapter missing at the end. The confrontation before the fight is missing. Otherwise it was excellent.

Good

I started these alex cross books from the beginning. First three could have been stand alone. This one is probably better if you’ve read / heard the earlier ones. Very engaging though. Kinda mindless easy to listen to story telling.
