The end is nigh. With Gina and Rachel back, Lilith finds herself reminded that relationships are hard, even as she strives to move on with her life and adjusting her newfound confidence. Yet once again she finds herself without time to adjust, as Shadowmind has chosen to make her move at last. Lilith’s maker has no place in her plans for her wayward creation, and the question becomes: What will Lilith choose when faced with Shadowmind’s ultimatum?

To be absolutely fair I am not a fan of harems in general. I find them unrealistic, and could not see anyone really being so insecure or have such low self esteem that they would willingly spend time trying to compete for the attention of a single individual that would string them along like that. It is just a fantasy, and a rather gross and creepy one. However, in this particular case i will admit it is better than most. Still the fact that EVERYONE wants to have sex with Lilith and the sudden addition of yet another actual competitor in the final hour got to be so annoying that i just started skipping no longer giving a crap anymore. It was weird, the author balanced everything else pretty well, yet in this one area he just will not stop pushing things to the point that they are no longer enjoyable.
Besides the over the top harem stuff, i would say the only other things i think might put people off is that the main story is more of a slice of life coming of age story than a superhero story. Most of what one considers when they think of super heroes is done by side characters. It didn't really bother me that much, after i made the realization. However i could see a lot of people being bothered by a story where the protagonists biggest power is being a trust fund kid.
Finally, this isn't really a complaint, just an observation. Sex in story is really vague. I get that some authors and readers don't really like sex scenes in their books, and that is fine. Though considering what happens in this series i am not really sure why the author draws the line at actual sex but that is their choice. However the scenes around sex are so vague that i often wasn't even certain that they were doing anything. The characters themselves don't even acknowledge if they did anything or not, which is weird considering that Lilith is often spending time thinking about her new experiences yet never seems to have any thoughts on such a fundamental part of relationships? Doesn't really make any sense. I just feel that there is some improvement needed on making things clearer.
Overall, while i don't think it is the greatest series i have ever read/listened to, it certainly isn't the worst. If the author goes through with their plans to continue the series i will continue to buy the books flaws and all.
Good series, but the harem gets pretty tedious
