It's all coming together

Race to Terra brings Kelsey and Jared back together in the end. Both have made it to Terra but each by there own very unique adventures. But each also leaves part of their teams behind. Speaking of which, We have not heard a word about the rest of Jared's team since they split up a couple books back.

I had one major issue with this episode. At the beginning, it jumps back and forth between Kelsey's team and Jared's team. That would not be quite as bad as it sounds except that there is a Kelsey on both teams and that gets very confusing when listening. I am sure that there is a proper break on the written page to help change scenes, but listening to the audio version there is barely an end of sentence pause as we switch characters, sometimes from one Kelsey to the other. I have run into this with other books as well but, in this situation of jumping between characters of the same name but in very different situations, it is very problematic.

As usual, Veronica does an excellent job reading this series. I could not imagine Kelsey without her voice. She does such a great job that Terry even named a character in the story after her.

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A Great Continuance of the Story!

I wonder how Veronica felt reading herself into the story:-)
This is book #10 & it is still going strong. It is a fine art of writing to have multiple stories going on & have them smoothly come together. As usual Terry does a fine job of keeping track of all of them, keeping them interesting, not confusing the reader, & bringing them all to a climatic end.
I can not say anything specific without having spoilers, but I enjoyed the story & am waiting for the audio to #11 to come out in December.

Next up - Terra

Great addition to the Empire Of Bones Saga. Princess Kelsey Bandar and Admiral Jared Mertz are both on their way to save Earth and retrieve the key to free them from the lords. This is the tenth book in the saga and I have found them all enjoyable. For a great space opera listen to the Empire Of Bones Saga.
Veronica Giguere did her usual stellar job as narrator.
I was provided the book for free, with the stipulation that I post an honest review.

Alternate Universes.

I haven't read any other books in this series. I was gifted book 10 in audio.
That being said, I really enjoyed this book. It alternated between Kelsey and Kelsey #2, a doppelganger from another universe. Their personalities similar, but different because of the life events that transpired for each of them. This is military Sci-Fi, as well as some hard Sci-Fi, as they explained the communications process with good detail, and I found the way they were able to communicate from one side of the galaxy to the other very interesting. I enjoyed the tale and look forward to picking up more titles by this author in the future.

Let’s wrap things up...

Good series but it’s starting to feel like it’s dragging on too long. I hope the author ties up loose ends in book 11 and doesn’t introduce more to warrant a book 12.

An awesome sci-fi story.

Great continuation.. Characters evolve and grow in each unpredictable situation, making this an enjoyable reading. The plot offers a wonderful potential to take the story in new directions and Terry takes the opportunity to do so.
I am hoping to see this story grow and continue for a long while.
This audio book was gifted to me long after I finished reading the Kindle version and I still enjoyed the experience.
I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Didn't care for it.

Was looking forward to this, thought it sounded a lot like Star Wars. I just couldn't get into it & after 5 chapters didn't want to commit anymore time to it. I recieved this audio book free for an unbiased review.
