Great Read

Rainfall was another great read by Melissa Delport. Paige has been grieving the murder of her fiancé during an armed robbery, while also dealing with her father having Alzheimers. Paige fights depression and pulls herself out of that dark place. Paige meets Adam and they are both instantly attracted to eachother. Adam grew up in an orphanage and doesn’t remember anything before he was six years old. Everything is going great until she finds Adam in bed with another woman. Paige cuts him out of her life until a mysterious man comes to her and reveals Adam’s past. He also tells Paige that she is the only person who can help him. This is an amazing book that will break your heart and put it back together, before breaking it again. I can’t wait to read more by Melissa Delport.

Heartbreaking

It has been a long time since I've read/listened to a book that I didn't fall asleep on. But it's 4 AM, I couldn't pause the story and I couldn't fall asleep! This book will stick with me for a very long time. The emotions experienced were swinging from one to another...sad, happy, depressed, hope, anger, love, resolve, giddy, shock, heartbreaking, heartwarming. Amazing storyline with a huge twist, wonderful writing, characters that are easy to bond with. A very different kind of happy ever after. Worth listening to this one again.

Katlynn Million is an EXCELLENT narrator. Her female/male voices are amazing. I'd give her more than 5 stars if I could! I hope to hear her in many more romance books in the future.

*I received a code for this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Interesting Read

This was an interesting look into life of a young woman and her relationship with a man suffering from dissociative identity disorder and the struggle to discover the cause and help to reintegrate his alter egos. She learns a lot along the way and suffers heartbreak but eventually learns to live her life on her terms.

still reeling and crying

I felt some empathy for Paige for her loss, but she became a selfish martyr when Adam was around. She treated Lizzy poorly from the start and I feel it was because of jealousy. She knew Simon and Lizzy had a deep connection and she didn't appreciate that. Heck, she kidnapped him and set about having a fake life and ignoring calls from the Dr. and P. !! My heart still hurts for Simon/Adam and all his pain. Simon had to create alter egos in his struggle to survive the horrific traumatic atrocities he witnessed as a child!!! Otherwise he would have gone mad! Paige was pure id- selfish! Life is full of losses, deal with it and look at all the positives!! It irked me, that if Paige loved Adam so much why she didn't try to understand and befriend him. Give him a chance and get to know him. No, she cast him aside like an old shoe. smh!! I loved Simon and Lizzy, but not a fan of Paige the martyr. She never gave Simon the host, a chance, but catered to his other personalities. Frank was a great secondary character and much appreciated. The narration was good. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review .

Angsty mindf*ck that won’t let you go.

How much heartache can one woman take? Just when Paige finds her happiness with Adam it all seems to go up in smoke. Finding him in bed with another woman is the straw that broke the camel’s back. But then maybe there’s an explanation. But is everything as it seems? This book will take you on a roller coaster of emotions. Make sure you have a box of tissues handy.

A Story that will test so many emotions!

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. Have a box of tissues nearby. This is not your normal romance. This is a real rollercoaster ride of good and heart-wrenching emotions that will you drained at times. I won't give you any spoilers but be careful some reviews do. Paige is a strong woman who is being tested by the worst that fate can send her. At times she is ready to give up. Then she meets Adam whom she dearly loves. They have a wonderful whirlwind romance until fate hits her again. This book will tear at your emotions from the beginning to the end. Few books cause me to cry but this one did especially towards the end. I would like to tell you more but I'm afraid I would ruin the story for you. The narrator does an excellent job of portraying the emotions and personalities of these characters. She really sets the mood of this story. I highly recommend this Audible book. It will keep you on the edge of your seat, and you won't want to stop listening to it. It deals with mental illness and how it effects the person and their loved ones.

Why Melissa, Whyyyyy????

It's okay, I get why. Life sometimes sucks no matter how hard you try. Paige was a totally believable and likeable character. Adam and Jacob are equally likeable. Kyle started off horrible and morphed into someone I could spend time with, misunderstood guy that he was really. Simon? Simon can go jump! He didn't even try to understand, or explain anything. This is highly likely due to his upbringing in the orphanage. Misunderstood conditions like his are often problematic for the more rigid religions. Well done Melissa on writing such a thoroughly unlikable character like Simon. There is just no redemption for him for me.

Katlynn's performance was not horrible but, I still find my eye twitching with some of her pronunciation and reading flow. That however, is a me thing.
