About this listen

Accountant and financial advisor Lacey Chamberlain doesn't consider herself a control freak. She's merely a planner-orderly, neat, and content in her tidy little life. When a marketing firm moves into the empty office next door, the loud-music-playing, stinky-food-ordering, kickball-in-the-hall staff make Lacey crazy.

Marketing expert Alicia Wright is spontaneous, flies by the seat of her pants, and lives in the moment-all the things Lacey is not. She's also gorgeous, thoughtful, and seems determined to make Lacey like her.

They say opposites attract, but for how long? And is that really a good idea?

Excellent Audio!

I really enjoyed Right Here, Right Now. Great story of Lacy, the quiet accountant meets Alicia, marketing boss. They dance around the dating, friendship part for quite a while. Paige McKinney does an excellent job with the narration.

Living In The Moment

Tax season is a bitch! Just ask any CPA and they will tell you. Lacey Was working sixteen hour days even on Saturday. Then a noisy Marketing firm moves on next door. They are noisy and disruptive. The redhead running the place is a total distraction and Lacey finds herself falling. But Elisha is wounded and doesn’t let anyone get past her guard. A erotic romance and saga. Great performance. Recommend.

Omg!!! I LOVED IT!!

Georgia has done it again! This just became one of my new favorites!!! This sweet, sexy, funny and heartwarming book just took me across 4 States in a U-haul...lol and was so what I needed to get through it! The narrator is also one of my favs and she was awesome. I laughed, almost cried and contently sighed several times...Got a solo road trip coming up? THIS one will have you floating there!

good

I really enjoyed the story but I hate that she kept making excuses for everyone's behavior. also I hate Brandon he was an unnecessary jerk and I didn't like him even a little. I wanted to punch him in the throat.

Speed it up, fixes all.

Speed up the narrator to 1.5 or 2 and it’s so much better. Story is great.

It's kind of boring...

This is the first title I've read from Georgia Beers that she has written in the first person, I can't say that I very well liked it. That being said, the MC feels very isolated from the story and her love interest. It also seemed like it was just a trek to get to the end.
There's a lot of "opposites attract" books out there but I just couldn't feel the switch from admonishment to love, it felt kinda forced.

This is also my first Paige McKinney narration. I thought she did well, I could distinct which characters were which but something felt off, just can't seem to put my finger on it. Overall, she a did a good job and I didn't find my enjoyment lacking due to narrator.

All in all, if you're a Georgia Beers fan and want her books by all means buy this book, however, if you're looking for a specific trope in general, I would probably give this a pass.

The was quick and enjoyable to read.

However, I felt like Alicia was giving way more than she was getting back from Lacey for them to come together the way they did. I didn't feel it was organic enough. Like, what was if about Lacey that drew Alicia? Towards the end Alicia tells Lacey what drew her to Lacey but I don't know, if just didn't feel like enough.

Great story/?narration

As a fan of GB, the story line and characters were GREAT but the setting didn’t grab me. Most of it takes place in an office building and there were repetitive descriptions of the office next door as well as the careless driver in the parking lot.
The narration was so “sing-song-y” - meaning unnecessarily EXCESSIVE in terms of expressiveness - where syllables had 2 or 3 modulations in tone, many times for words for which ANY extra expressiveness was overkill. Some female voices were unnaturally high and saccharine. I even tried upping the speed bc I found the tone of voice SO distracting and unnecessarily flowery. Would recommend the book but also recommend that you LISTEN to a sample FIRST to make sure the narration doesn’t detract. Try THE SECRET POND if you’re visual and want a read that flows naturally, paints beautiful imagery and has lovely, characters with deep connections.

Georgia Beers Weaves Another Winner

I always love how Georgia Beers somehow deeply understands so many different characters’ life experiences and reactions. This particular story mirrored a lot about my life. I really appreciate the way these characters were portrayed. Plus, as always, we get offered up the best of romances with just the right amount of sexy interludes.

Narrator - pass

not a fan of the narrator at all. the storyline was good, just would have like to hear it with a different narrator one with some excitement.
