About this listen

When the widowed owner of the wine bar Vineyard decides she wants to take some time off and travel abroad, she leaves her business in the very capable hands of the two women she trusts most: her daughter Piper and Vineyard's general manager, Lindsay.

For Lindsay Kent, Vineyard is her dream job. She's thrilled when her boss leaves her in charge (well, half charge) and tells her to feel free to make changes. Lindsay has tons of ideas that she's been dying to put into action, and this is her big chance to increase the success of the business and prove she's more than ready to run things solo. But getting the boss's daughter on board is harder than expected. The uptight and annoyingly attractive Piper is blocking her every move.

For Piper Bradshaw, Vineyard is not her job. She already has one. She's VP at a large tech company, and she's damn good at it. Who cares if people say she's a workaholic and an icy bitch? She didn't get to the top by being prone to whims and experiments. She's not happy when her mother suddenly decides to gallivant all over the country and furious that the family business has been left in the hands of the happy-go-lucky, born-a-generation-too-late hippie who manages it. Good thing Lindsay can't make any changes unless they both agree, because Piper doesn't intend to.

Lindsay and Piper are like night and day. Working together won't be easy, but not falling in love might prove the hardest job of all.

Another sweet romance from the pen of Georgia Beers. The characters are interesting, fun, frustrating and sufficiently snarky. The plot is engaging, showing how change happens...we can either go kicking and screaming or enjoy the flow of the ride. Well performed and thoroughly enjoyable.

Nice blend

This is a lovely story. I enjoy the natural progression that Beers delivers. The relationships aren’t forced or rushed and the dialogue is so enjoyable. I also enjoy the laughs I get. I found myself smiling through several conversations. She really captures the internal dialogue well. I always enjoy this narrator, too. She makes it easy to listen.

Great story and narrator

This was my first book from this author and now I am a fan. This was so beautifully written. No cliff hangers just a good all-around great love story. I will say the narrator did not do a very good voice for pipers character, she sounded like a woman imitating a man's voice.

Did not disappoint

I wish it was a little longer though or maybe a sequel is in order here to continue the story from where this story left off a lot was missing at the end of this story add a wedding for the two main characters and maybe kids to the mix make this a book series titled blended Hart’s and souls between girlfriends And lovers.

Great story needs more

Love the story another Georgia Beers classic but the narrator was not great. Did not like her inflections or the voice she did for Piper.

great story questionable narrator

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was a little slow to start but wrapped nicely, I'm glad I stuck with it! The characters had great chemistry. I knew there would be a turning point where they began to see each other in a new light but it happened so gradually and really sucked me in. I was rooting for them to make it through tough times. The narration made the book that much better. Great distinction between the characters and with plenty emotion. Highly recommend the book!

Charming book!

Another perfect blend of narration and writer. The story of how to loose the love your life. Another advice from the author of how to not put your foot in mouth and win back the love. Great narration of each character.
