About this listen

Of three brothers, it was Ethan who shared his father's passion for the Maryland shore. And now, with his father gone, Ethan is determined to make the family boatbuilding business a success. But amidst his achievements lie the most important challenges of his life.

There is young Seth, who needs him more than ever. And a woman he has always loved but never believed he could have. But beneath Ethan's seemingly still waters is a dark and painful past. He must learn to see around the shadows to accept who he is. Because through Ethan's past lies the future - and his one chance at happiness.

The saga continues: Pay another visit to Chesapeake Bay.©2005 Nora Roberts (P)2005 Brilliance Audio, Inc.

Entire book about Ethan and Grace with almost no continuing elements from first book (Seth's behavior issues, the boat business, Ray's mysterious connection to Seth, Cam & Sarah's early adjustments to marriage, and what's happening with Philip during most of story?). I would have liked more of the overall story, and other characters, with Ethan & Grace being latest sub-plot. (More like the way first book was structured). Narrator is excellent and I will move on to 3rd book in series hoping it will pick up the pace a bit. I know it will be about Philip mostly, but maybe more elements will be woven back into the whole Quinn story.

Somewhat uninteresting

A feel-good book with a sound bit of human understanding thrown in. Now # three.

A feel-good book

Ethan seems quite but fines out he is really bossy. Tight with the family but slow in love he just needed a fire lit under him because he is HOT HOT. Great 2nd book

I am so glad I decided to read this series again! In true Nora Roberts style she weaves this story about brothers that found their way to happiness after childhood abuse!

The second in the Chesapeake Bay quartet is Ethan's story. I learned a bit more about boat building, and what being a waterman is but also got drawn deeper into the story of the Quinn's and what and how each of them came to be Quinn's. Again the good guys are fabulous and the villain is hideous. I will visit these books again.
David Stuart's performance adds a lot to the overall feel of a great story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES

Any additional comments?

You never knew what was going to happen, hum drum books that you do not even have to hear all of are boring.

Best book in a long time
