About this listen
Into the cutthroat world of Corinium television comes mega-star Declan O'Hara. Declan soon realises that the Managing Director, Lord Baddingham, has recruited him merely to help retain the franchise for Corinium. Baddingham has also enticed Cameron Cook, a gorgeous, domineering woman executive, to produce Declan's programme.
As a rival group emerges to pitch for the franchise, reputations ripen and decline, true love blossoms and burns, marriages are made and shattered and sex raises its head at almost every throw....

Story
The story of Lady Chatterley and her love for her husband's gamekeeper outraged the sensibilities of Edwardian England. Lawrence had already been dismissed as a purveyor of the obscene for the attitudes to sex that he had shown in The Rainbow, which had been fiercely suppressed on its publication in 1915. Chatterley, written in several versions around 1928 in Italy in the final part of Lawrence's life, was a deliberate choice on the author's part to address sex head on.

Story
When Daphne arrives in Berlin, the last thing she expects is to run into more drama than she left behind. Of course, she knew she'd need to do the usual: make friends, acquire lovers, grapple with German and a whole new way of life. She even expected the long nights gorging alone on family-sized jars of Nutella, and the pitfalls of online dating in another language. The paranoia, the second-guessing of her every choice, the covert behaviors? Probably come with the territory. But one night, when Daphne is alone in her apartment, something strange, unnerving and entirely unexpected intervenes.

1966, NYC: Jacqueline Susann’s Valley of the Dolls hits the bookstores and she is desperate for a bestseller. It’s steamy, it’s a page-turner, but will it make the big money she needs? In London, Jackie Collins’s racy The World Is Full of Married Men launches her career. But neither author is prepared for the price they will pay for being women who dare to write about sex. Jacqueline and Jackie are lambasted by the literary establishment, deluged with hate mail, and even condemned by feminists. In public, both women shoulder the outcry with dignity; in private, they are crumbling.

Story
Hazel and Fox are an ordinary married couple with a baby. Except for one small thing: they're murderers. Well, they used to be. They had it all. An enviable London lifestyle, five-star travels, and plenty of bad men to rid from the world. Then Hazel got pregnant. Now, they’re just another mom-and-dad-and-baby. They gave up vigilante justice for life in the suburbs: arranged play dates instead of body disposals, diapers over daggers, mommy conversations instead of the sweet seduction right before a kill. And Hazel finds her new life terribly dull.

She doesn’t want to relive the crushing heartbreak and scandal that ravaged her world as a teen. interesting from the former colonies
I finally storyline interesting relatively engaging the characters holy on sympathetic pretty miserable generally and not much to like about any of them honestly which I think was the point. for the end I was actually yelling at Declan because he was so ridiculous and Patrick so arrogant I never understood a portion when it seemed Declan was fine with baz and tag but not Rupert. understanding that there was significant work to describe whatever was wearing setting the scene was fantastic it really put you in these towns in Great Britain and allowed you to realize that it was the 80s and needs epidemic was also covered from a heterosexual point of view
new money versus old. creators vs owners rich versus poor. I did find it some hot lines were never wrapped up or never explained which was kind of annoying but all I was pretty impressed

Entertaining, great narrator
I read another review that described this book as a soap opera and that sums it up well. It’s a steamy, ridiculous story with ridiculously over the top characters. But it’s fun and interesting and the narrator is fantastic. It could have been shorter, but the ride was enjoyable all the way through regardless. I would have liked more details about the ending, rather than just the lead up to it.

Kept me engaged
Although this is book 2 in the series I started here after watching the first season of the show on Hulu. The books version (as always) was much more engaging and detailed. Didn't want it to end!!

Great story telling!
Sherry has a wonderful voice for audio books. I enjoyed listening. Jilly Cooper is such a great author and story teller and I think Sherry paid homage to that.
For future reference, Moet is pronounced with a hard ‘t’ and not Moay! It’s derivative is Dutch not French!

sharp, amusing and surprisingly romantic story.
Great characters... bordering on iconic. witty dialogue. Great 80s vibe...loved every minute of it.
yet, the narration was too slow. heard the whole book at 1.2 speed which i would never do- but here was perfect .

Great fun! A lovely escape.
I enjoyed the depth of characterization and the humor often made me laugh out loud. I became quite invested in the characters, both the ones I loved and the ones I loved loathing. Brilliant performance by Sherry Baines. Her voice is both engaging and soothing. So it kept me interested and helped me relax, which is an impressive mix.
