One Mysterious Sea Captain
Lord Rupert Haywood, future Duke of Belmonte, has no desire to manage an estate with his corrupt father. He prefers to roam the ocean with his crew of rugged pirates.
One Determined Bluestocking
Ever since Louisa Carmichael's brother unexpectedly inherited a dukedom, her mother's expectations for her have veered in a distinctly vertical direction. Louisa dreams not of glittering ballgowns but of exploring the tropical waters of the Caribbean with her latest invention, an underwater breathing apparatus.
One Forbidden Journey
When her mother arranges a marriage for her, Louisa decides she might just don a pair of breeches and discover the Caribbean in disguise. The only problem is a certain very handsome captain....

the heroine was disguised as a man for the main part of their relationship, and it did not seem to the hero that his affection for a man was worrying. most men of that time would have been distressed.
The actions of the h/h don't really seem to make sense and everything is so unbelievable that I could not settle into the story. It may be odd, but I kept trying to understand how the heroine was smelling "like vanilla", when she had no opportunity to bathe or have a change/wash of her clothing, over the travel from England to St. Lucia. This is impossible! Many details are just thrown in with no explanation, so the story is very disjointed.
If you don't like the word "pinkened", which is used overly much in this story, then don't bother with this book. I don't recommend it and this was a waste of a credit.
No h/h chemistry
