About this listen
From a USA Today bestselling author...
Sam never understood why Eliza left him five years ago, ghosting him without explanation. He’s avoided romance ever since, focusing on building his business. Money might not keep him warm at night, but it can sure buy a lot of blankets.
Then Eliza shows up on his doorstep and throws herself into his arms. She can’t explain her bruises or the head injury that’s left her with no memories of the past five years, including their breakup. No matter how good it feels to hold her, though, there’s no way he’s getting sucked into romance again.
He’ll deliver Eliza to her mother, and that will be that. But instead of finding her mom, they’re met by two attackers and barely escape alive. Despite the danger to his life and his heart, he can’t leave Eliza to fend for herself.
Together, they embark on a journey to reconstruct her past while evading the men chasing her. As Sam and Eliza close in on the truth, their romance reignites, but her secret threatens to destroy them both.
Prepare to be enthralled by this gripping story of amnesia, a second chance at love, and a secret baby. Running to You is an edge-of-your-seat Christian romantic suspense set in Maine that will keep you reading all night long.

Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

Story
Brian and Marcie were supposed to live happily ever after--they repeated vows that stated that very sentence. So no one, especially Brian, could have predicted that Marcie would file for divorce. It was difficult to fight the situation, finding that all his possessions were packed and waiting by the door when he came home from work that Thursday evening. Kate Moore sat in a stupor for a month. Unlike any other breakup she had experienced, this felt more like a drive by shooting, with her ex holding the smoking gun as he sped away. What happened, she asked herself, knee-deep in peanut butter...

Story
Zoe Mitchell's life is as meticulously planned as the weddings she organizes. Her idea of adventure? Trying a new brand of hair spray. But when a freak storm strands her in the Wyoming wilderness, she finds herself face-to-face with Axel Hawke - a rugged mountain man who could make even the most steadfast city girl swoon. Axel is everything Zoe isn't - wild, untamed, and unapologetically masculine. Story
An aspiring author writing under a pen name accidentally sparks a crime in this sweetly suspenseful historical romance! It’s a good thing she’s secretly courting a gunsmith who’s been working hard to teach her a thing or two about self-defense. However, secrets have a way of piling up and coming back to haunt a person (especially in small towns like Cedar Falls), and Rose Marie Addington’s growing pile of secrets is no exception to this rule. For a woman who spends so much time reading and writing about happily-ever-afters, she can’t help but worry if true love is strong enough to...

Great story—virtual voice okay
The story, from one of my favorite authors, overcame the not-so-good virtual narrator. I have heard worse! It was worth listening to him to get the story.

Delightfully surprised
The AI reader was very good. I was doubtful. The story line was good, clean but compelling.

Scrap the automated voice
I loved the book! The automated voice not so much. It leaves out emotion and helpful nuances.

Story was great. Virtual voice not so good.
About the time I got used to the virtual voice reading, it would read punctuation or inflection would not match emotion. The story deserves better.

Avoid virtual voice narration!
The virtual voice narration was the worst book I've ever listened to!
Using that narration was a really lousy idea for what could have been a fantastic book.

Intriguing Storyline
I enjoyed the story. A lot of twists and turns, suspense, and things to make you think and keep you guessing. As I was listening there were a few times I thought. is this really possible? could something like this happen? and then I remember yes it has happened already in our nation... and then the author points it out.

Decent story
The AI generated voice was awful. Pauses in the wrong spots made it hard to understand.

Good story!
The story was a good one, but the virtual voice takes away from it. Voice inflections are often used in a way that I’m sure the author didn’t intend.
